Default Intermediary Option

I have been on this forum long enough sadly to see the many big transactions that get screwed up due to scammers. Has anyone ever thought of using a middle man before? It just seems like that might make both parties feel more at ease with a given transaction.

In the past when doing big dollar online poker transfers, I have used a middle man before that both people knew and trusted and it made both of us feel much safer and not likely to get scammed.

It likely won't affect me for a while, but it is just something I thought of recently.

I think there have been a few high dollar trades that used a middle man. Not many, but it's been done. I don't recall who exactly were the Buyer/Seller/Middle-man though.
Always willing to talk shop or B/S/T.

I used it once on an SCF trade since they have the option available - worked pretty well.

I'll be the middle man, but you probably never hear from me again!

This would be a good idea.

I think it is an "okay" idea - but it still has it flaws.
Currently looking for the following comic Books:
United Comics: 21,22,23,24,26
Tip Top: 173 & 184
Peanuts 1 (1953)
Peanuts: 1-4 (1963-64)

I think it really only works when trading card for card. It could still easily have problems if you have money involved.
