Generally speaking, you are correct.

But in this case, the buyer asked to pay later and the seller accepted the term. In my view, the deal was finalized whether payment info. was exchanged or not. In addition, the buyer basically admitted to backing out of a deal because "his wife wont let him buy it".

I think you need to take a break from the member feedback section for a bit. You're not comprehending the difference between your situation and this one.

Your situation:
I'll take x card
Sorry I don't have it any longer
- not a deal

This situation:
I'll take x card if I can pay tomorrow
Its all yours
I can't pay for the card, my wife won't let me
- backing out of an agreed upon deal

Wait that's that guy? With over 400 deals and still not getting it? Ok how much did he pay for that account? That's rookie crap right there.

This is a perfect summary, commentary and advice. Griffin, I second the break from this section for awhile, you seem to be having a hard time comprehending the nuances and you're doing yourself no favors with your reputation.

I understand perfectly, but like I said earlier, information is missing from the original post. If payment information was sent to the other party, then it's a deal and a negative is worthy. Otherwise, it's not a transaction per the forum rules.

"When is a deal finalized?

A deal is only finalized when both parties agree and payment details are set."

Seeing that the mods have taken care of it tells me they got the information they needed from the OP and payment information was sent.

You guys are stuck focusing on the ridiculous excuse and not the parameters surrounding the transaction as a whole.

You guys are stuck focusing on the ridiculous excuse and not the parameters surrounding the transaction as a whole.

You're trying to make it black and white and no one is a robot that follows the direct chain of a deal.

The dialog between the 2 constitute the deal whether payment info was sent at the time of agreement, the next day, or not at all.

I will take it, if (there was no if) I can pay tomorrow constitutes direct deal from buyer. That's fine constitutes direct deal from seller. Boom deal is made, details to follow when ever.

Any deviation by either party breaks the deal.

I will take it, can pay tomorrow - no need immediate payment = no deal
I will take it, can pay tomorrow - card sold = no deal

Do you see where both parties need to agree to terms laid out for a deal to happen?

The fact that there even has to be a rule on what a deal is is silly
The fact that people NEED the rule to understand is sad

I'm trying to be as respectful as possible here, but how am I acting inappropriately by posting the rules of the forum?

Is this section not used for these types of discussions?

Honestly in the manner in which you are doing it I think you are flirting with disaster and trying to prove a point that since you got dinged others should too or to prove that you were right.

That is just my opinion and seems to be the same for others as well based on their comments.

You're being respectful ... ish, the problem is the thick headedness. You have very clearly been passively aggressively trying to protest this case as a comparison to yours and there is zero grounds for that.

Your situation was an absolute clear case of a not completed deal which to your credit, you now acknowledge. This situation is just the opposite though, both parties clearly agreed on a deal and the buyer then backed out later, he even came here and said exactly that.

It has been told to you over and over and by more than one person, you are wrong, making yourself look a fool and eventually going to get a break if you continue down this path. Mods here aren't fans of being mocked.

Yes and no, this matter was solved many many posts ago and both parties involved are good. It is your continuing to beat a dead horse and cause drama that is the issue.

I have not protested this once and I haven't made a comparison to mine either. In fact, I have agreed with the mod's decision as it looks accurate, so I don't understand how I have mocked anyone, let alone a mod.

I've actually not made any comparison to my case here, except stating a forum rule clarification that was shared with me.

And in reference to me beating a dead horse, I've only come back to this thread to defend against the personal attacks thrown in my direction, nothing more.
