Ebay Shadyness; what do you think?

So I was looking for a Jonathan Singleton Bowman Sterling auto. I found one and entered my bid and then upped my max bid to $25.00 before I went to bed last night. This morning I woke up and the bidding was up to $24.50. Not so much a big deal but I found it odd someone upped my bid almost to the max. Then I look at the bid history and check to see who is bidding...and see this:

Member Id: 0***0 ( 9 ) Bid activity (%) with this seller: 100%

then I check out some of this guys other completed auctions and low and behold 0***0 was just under the max bid on several auctions...

I want the card and am still the max bidder, but should I report this or am I looking for something that isn't there? Should I wait until after I receive the card if I win? Thanks for your help!

I think double agent o (9) is just another bidder but I could be wrong. I figure if I'm outbid I'm outbid I reckon. It really doesn't bother me cause I'm sure I'll eventually find another card of the same!!

It's one of the few times I think there really was shilling going on when someone thinks there is shilling!

Wow! So what do you think I should do? Report it? Stay in the auction? If I win I don't want to say something and have him damage my card before he sends it...Sorry, I've never really come across this before and generally have never had a problem with ebay stuff.

Only 2 choices, if you are happy with the price do nothing and pay if you win otherwise cancel your bid, report it and bid on someone elses. Winning and then complaining is just stupid. There are dozens of these on eBay so its not like you have to win this one.

When my bid gets maxed out by someone that chips away at it and stops when they maxed me out, I cancel my bid and go about my business.
