sportzluvr1 is not trustworthy

I've only been on this board for a few months and, to date, the folks I've dealt with have been exceptional. From case breaks to trades to buys and sells, the population-at-large here is great. However, as is the case with every group, there are exceptions.

Here is his post from 12/26: Have Paypal LOOKING FOR PROSPECTS! -WTB. He posted another similar one the same day: BUYING! JOSH VITTERS and MATT LAPORTA!.

I sent a PM that day, letting him know that I had a 2008 Bowman Chrome AU Vitters for sale/trade. Since I didn't see anything in his bucket that I wanted to trade for, I offered the card for $22. He PM'd me back, saying that if I knocked $2 off the price, he would buy it. I agreed and he said he'd pay right away. In fact, if you page down to 12/28 10:03 from the previous post, you can see that he expected to pay for the card he bought from me.

The next day (12/27), I shot him a PM, asking if he needed more time, since he told me he was going to pay right away. He responded that he would pay tomorrow (which was the 28th). No problem.

The following Tuesday, I sent another PM, asking if he was still interested. He said he was, but that he was cash poor and was waiting for people to pay him first. I found it interesting that he "got plenty of cash/paypal", but was unable to come up with the money. Even more interesting was this post: HUGE Prospect auto lot F/S!!!!!!!!!!, where he had the same card as part of a lot he was trying to move.

He had the money, or he wouldn't have been able to pay for this card on 12/29: BUYING! JOSH VITTERS and MATT LAPORTA!. This guy just decided to buy cards on eBay, rather than living up to the deal he agreed to here.

Since 12/28, I sent 2 more PMs, asking if he was still planning to pay for the card. Finally, today, I got a sh*tty reply, saying that he was no longer interested.

I'm not going to go on a cursing rant... this is just a warning to anyone on these boards that is thinking about dealing with sportsluvr2 - or even reviewing his "I WANT TO BUY..." posts. He doesn't keep is word and shouldn't be trusted. Live up to your word or go away, sportsluvr2. It's not the money... I could care less about the $20. It's the principle of making a deal, then backing out like a snake.

Also just so you guys know, this goof off(sportsluvr1) was over on a different site b#$ching about how blowout members were rude and mean awhile back.

I will take care of that issue.

As for my input on the issue that this thread was started over, I had a successful trade with a CV on each side of around $80 with sportzluvr1 that went off without a hitch. I have also purchased a couple of cards from endthecurse that went off without a problem.

I MIGHT have another to add. LATERALUS still hasn't delivered on my purchase from 12/22. He hasn't been on since Monday which is odd since he was glued to this site for days on end prior. Maybe he is busy so he hasn't come on but I still would like to know where my cards are.

Ok. Thanks to the people that i made easy and successful trades with, you know who you are. I was greeted HORRIBLE on this site and thats why i made the thread on "another site". I was criticized for doing something thats not even against the rules. I said something in my thread and it was deleted. That kinda put a bad taste in my mouth. Im not a bad person, and i know that, BUT i understand why the op is upset, and he should be. This is a great site and you guys seem to have a lot of fun with it. So, i know im not "welcome" here i guess so ill say good bye, and wish you some good....uhmm.... ju-ju? with the future boxes you decide to bust.

And, endthecurse, the reason i couldnt pick up the card is because a week (or two?)
ago i was having people buy my auctions, then not even pay for them. Ebay is tough nowadays, and i hope you understand that. However, i sent $75 to vinny on here and the transaction went swimmingly. So, i am sorry. If it makes you real upset you can pm me, and ill send you some paypal for it. I have no problem doing so.

Might I say that I had a very enjoyable and successful transaction with my new buddy, sportzluvr1. We communicated, paid, traded, and consummated a wonderful deal for both sides. When I made a mistake on my side, he was understanding and accepted my reasoning to finalize our deal.

It's just odd... you post a request, looking for a player... agree to buy a card from me, then list the card you wanted from me in another (lot) auction... then proceed to pay everyone else you made deals with, from vinny to the folks on eBay. My takeaway... you decided you didn't like the deal after agreeing to it and rather than being honest, you kept saying "I'll pay you".

I said my peace and I'm done with it. The other folks on this board are (obviously) free to do what they wish and if they decide to sell to you, caveat venditor.

Looking forward to next week's Sterling break...

As far as sportsluvr1 goes, he's A-Ok in my book. He gave me a great price, communication and quick delivery. No problems at all. Either he learned his lesson or that was an isolated problem. I would buy from him again. Thanks. Rob
