it's Atlanta.
I have a package I paid for off of ebay 4 months ago,tracking still shows it in Atlanta and a phone call got a "We have no idea where it is"

Yah I looked that up as well. I find it funny USPS doesnt show the tracking from date shipped on that package

It's the routing hubs and people getting paid 9.50 an hour to move roller baskets around
Crap falls,gets kicked, crap gets missorted
all kinds of crazy stuff
Warehouse mail employees, on the whole, DO NOT CARE
I have made many pick-ups in California at the mail-hub in long beach going to Tucson, AZ and the cards break free inside the truck,go flying all around and end up in scattered all over the length of the trailer.
the get up with a BROOM and push it into piles,rake it up and toss it back in the carts and off load them
Seen this happen THREE times
They do not care,just be grateful you get the mail you do lol

i think sometimes we get more focused on the card than the person we are doing deals with and forget history as well as the simplest thing. We have to remember that meeting and dealing with people is the upside to this hobby, the cards at some point are merely incidental

The positive threads have been few and far between the last couple months on BO. Thanks for sharing this situation and how it played out for the good for once. This thread will be a great example of how the PO can screw up and the buyer / seller does not always lose.

Glad that it was only a $8 card. Think of the hundreds of cards that are expensive that get lost or damaged through the mail a year. I want to clean their trucks.

Sometimes letters get stuck/left in the bottom of mail bags. Sometimes those mailbags don't get used again for a while. Once they finally do, letters from a while back are sometimes found.

This is just one example of what might have happened.

Am I the only one who doesn't see that the package was used as part of a scientific experiment to help calibrate the Post Office's new time traveling sorting device? It's part of their evil plan to make all packages "late" while still actually delivering them at a much later date.
