Default EBay selling help...

So I sold a card for $300 on eBay a couple weeks back. After a week of no payment and several unanswered messages to the buyer, I filed a non paying buyer claim. The claim is still open and says waiting for member to respond. How long am I supposed to wait? Can I start shopping that card around yet or could he still potentially pay? How does the claim end if he never responds? Sorry, but this is the first time I've got a non paying bidder on eBay.

Thanks in advance,

Joe

I think they have up to 7 days to reply. If they dont, theyll shut the case down, refund your fee's and the buyer is blocked from leaving feedback.

A cancel transaction is 7 days of waiting for the buyer. A non-paying bidder claim is 4 days of waiting for the buyer. If the buyer responds within that time, the case is closed.

An Unpaid Item Disput can be closed 4 days to the minute from the time it was opened. Ebay will not allow you to close it a second earlier.

The case is apparently still open. Heres what it says

You can close this case now Take action

The case was first filed on Jan 13. It was sold a while before that. I am tempted to just click close case now, but would I receive my final value fees back then? Or do I still have to keep waiting for him to respond? And am I allowed to give him negative feedback for this?

I just closed a case after 4 days of no response and I was refunded the final value fees and was able to relist. I was not able to leave negative feedback or any kind of feedback because no payment was recorded.

If there is absolutely no response from him then I would close it and try and sell it again...the item I relisted actually sold for more the second time so it worked out for me!

^^Thats what I wanted to hear. Thanks for the info. Just closed the case and the final value fee will be sent back as well as an unpaid item report to his account. Sucks that you cant leave a neg for him. Hopefully Ill have the same luck as you when I try and resell it!

Make sure you block him from bidding on your items again
