Problem with Blowout Member Jreyescollector

Sent him $35 for a card he was offering to sell on 3/19. No D/C, not shipped through paypal, no response through Blowout's forum.

Hmmm.. well he hasn't been on for 3 days, you never know, an emergency may have come up. I would wait a couple more days to see if he gets online, then if he still doesn't reply to your messages, file a claim.

I agree, given his feedback although low numbered he seems reputable on the boards as a seller. I would say give it a full 2 weeks then make a claim. Have you tried sending him email to the addy he gave you for PayPal?

I had a similar situation where the seller sent it off and card ended up being returned to him because something was wrong with the postage. Took around 2weeks just for him to receive it back to try and send again.

With all due respect, this wasn't a "what should I do" -- it was a "this guy took my paypal, hasn't responded to PMs through the forum, hasn't shipped the card out through Paypal shipping, and hasn't u/l'ed shipping correspondence for (now) 8 days after payment -- beware" type post.

I filed the claim on the 8th day. No way it should take this long. And if there is an emergency, that's fine. He still has the card, I just want my funds back. I don't believe he's entitled to both.

So right you are on the communication aspect of this, however IMO filing a claim after only 8 days is somewhat jumping the gun. Maybe just maybe something DID come up & there is no way to get into contact with you. Hope it all works out in the end.

I respectfully disagree. In the days of smartphones and laptops and ipads, it's hard to be out of pocket for more than a day or so.

eBay has changed the virtual landscape to where if an item isn't sent out in 1-2 days, it's "late". Not having it sent out in 8 days is most definitely "late".

I did receive communication from the seller in question, almost immediately after the paypal claim was made. Convenient.

Really? Every single time not enough postage was paid, I had to pay the difference but the package wasn't sent back. Interesting.
