Let's go quick bullet point style!
- A lot of 10 cards is pictured, including 2 of the same card - I say I will take one of the two - I pay, get the package ~week later - I take the card out, give it a quick once over, scan it, throw it in my box - About a month later, I put the card up for sale myself. - In my much larger scan, a potential buyer notices a line in the card (card is acetate/see thru plastic) - I double check and sure enough, there is a pretty big line on the bottom right - I go back to check original group photo, and sure enough you can see the line even in the big group picture. - I asked the original seller for a refund, showed him both photos (showing the card was damaged before he sent it to me), seller refuses refund because it took too long for me to ask Am I screwed here cause I over looked it the first time? Do I deserve a refund? What kind of feedback should be left if no refund is given? Opinions are appreciated. Thanks

Now on the flip side the seller can also be cool & refund you if he want's but scan or no scan it's hard to prove that card didn't get damaged in that month it sat with you. The time to bring up damaged goods is at the time you receive it. Besides it's acetate. That crap is usually always deformed somehow. Anywya hope it didn't cost that much. Just My Opinion BTW.

It sucks but lesson learned to check the card when you get it. Just my opinion - I can see your frustration - but doesn't seem reasonable to me to ask for a refund after a month. For all the seller knew you saw th line in the original post and bought I anyway since you didn't contact him about it right away.

In the listing there were two of them, and the line will only be seen if you are looking for it. Here are the pics:
![]() The card: ![]() General consensus says SOL I guess, so I guess I'll try to take what I can get for it. Oh well

I think you should worry more about the card and less about the damage. Wtf is that thing?!?

It's awesome...that's what it is. Back when they actually made creative inserts. And not just slapped on a swatch or a sticker.

I don't think they have basketball courts in Canada, but back in my day in good ole 'Merica, basketball cards DOMINATED the 90s as far as card collecting. Mid-Late 90s basketbal = best inserts ever Quote:

Its kinda funny he sent you the damaged one. Hard to tell from the first pic. Like you said you have to look for it. Defiantly a douche move by the seller. Unfortuantly to much time passed man. Looks like your gonna have to take a loss.

If you already left positive feedback when you recieved your cards then leaving another feedback no matter if its positive or negative I believe is against the rules. You cant leave feedback twice for the same transaction. Lesson learned thats all. When I first got back into the hobby a few years back I would leave feedback right away on Ebay. Even before I took the card out of the holder it was sent in. Now every card gets a through going over before any feedback is left. Once you leave positive feedback you are screwed. Whats to stop someone from buying a really expensive card then a month later there car gets demolished in an accident and they need money in a bad way from saying they want there money back now because they just noticed a blemish on the card. See what I am saying. This would leave a huge loophole open for scammers and people with buyers remorse. And most importantly, because timing is everything in this hobby. This would open the floodgates for people buying a card of a hot player hoping that they continue to play well and the card increases in value. But if they play like crap and the card loses value the buyer could just say he noticed an imperfection on the card and want there money back. Basically investing and taking a chance on your dime.

I agree with most of the posts above. If the picture shows damage and you bought it and didn't bring it up when you received the cards then that is all on you. Now after a month when you are trying to sell the card has it become an issue to you. I would take your lumps and move on. Lesson learned. Inspect when you receive and ask questions before you buy. That is why pictures are posted.

So just throw the seller under the bus and assume he knew it was damaged? Hell the buyer looked it over twice that he admits to and didn't see any damage, maybe the seller didn't as well.
