Default $2,000+ Trade!

I know we get pages and pages of people complaining about deals gone bad and trades that have gone wrong. I just want to say that I just completed a trade that involved over $2,000 worth of cards per trader. I traded my 2011 Bryce Harper GOLD AUTO BGS 9.5 for some really cool stuff from member jnb0123. It only took about an hour to complete the deal, and we both sent the product out with insurance and proper tracking. I know when trades go bad, it gets more reads, but feel free to post about the good members/trades on here. Jnb0123 is in Kentucky, and I'm in Wisconsin, and everything went perfectly fine. I just wanted to share.

I have to say you have way bigger balls than me, because its pretty damn ballsy to send 1000+ dollars worth of cards to someone. I hesitate sending 50 dollars worth of cards to someone.

Lately it's been scary to make any trades on this site with all the scamming going on let alone a huge $2000 trade! It's awesome to see the positives on this site though!

Well, there are obvious steps that can be taken. For example, for a trade of this magnitude, here is what I did:
1. Speak to the trader on the PHONE before either of us sent anything out.
2. Since I had the one, very high-dollar card, and he had 14 cards of lower value, I required to receive a tracking number with proof of insurance before I shipped the Harper. I could check to make sure the weight of the package was correct given he was sending me multiple cards.
3. Since he had pictures of all of his cards before I accepted the trade, I knew the cards were legit
4. Have big balls and pray.

Big big balls! Lol I'm glad everything went great because if not there would have been a 50 page troll fest haha

There is always risk, but calling and talking with the person on the phone eased my mind big time!! If they wont talk to you on the phone than they shouldn't be dealing with the big boys

I myself can stand by packerfan we have done a deal over 1500.00 right from this board. By the way Jared nice to see the thread and it is a great idea for people to be able to post about positive transactions. It does get depressing reading about all the deals that have gone bad.

I should've followed this advice when I made my trade here. Unfortunately, that will be my first and last trade here.

Great to hear of a completed trade of that magnitude being done well, but in all honesty with a trade that size a 3rd party accepting both ends then videoing the acceptance & showing the parties prior to shipping out to them would have been the best solution to guarantee a successful trade.

Wonderful that this worked out & kudos to you guys for doing it right, but use a 3rd party next time to ensure a successful high dollar trade.

We used insurance to ensure the high dollar trade.
