He posted about losing his job and a fire sale. I bought a couple cards for about 300 dollars. Couple weeks later, no card, no communicate. I filed a claim this morning. What are the percentages of Paypal actually tracking him down? This guys needs to apologizes to the community.

If it is too good to be true, it usually is.

They run rampant on this forum. Just go back a few pages in the member feedback section and read some of the threads. Ridiculous.

Doesn't anyone do anything about it? Mail fraud charges?

Its simply not that easy. Many jurisdictions do not pursue these charges because of cost involved. Also since Paypal is not a true bank there are different laws/regulations there as well. Trades in most cases are considered civil matters.

I cant speak about mail fraud as I dont know too much on the subject. The mods ban people when they catch them. But usually its after they ripped someone off. It stinks but someone has to be the Guinea pig before others are alerted. Always, always pay with paypal goods. If someone is gonna break a deal off over a $2 fee then maybe that is a person you dont wanna be doing business with anyway. Always use delivery confirmation as well. No matter who it is. In all reality we really dont know anyone on here all that well so just be careful who you deal with. I have established myself on this forum so I ask nicely if I am trading with someone I dont know or has low feedback if they would send first. If they refuse then no deal. Honest people never refuse. Its the ones that do refuse that you have to worry about. I sent first when I started on here.
