Default The number of scammers on here...

Is Blowout really that bad compared to others, or is it just that some other sites don't have callout forums like this one? It seems like BO is the wild west of trading forums, but maybe that is an inaccurate perception?

The only good thing about these scammers, for the record, is that they make for some interesting threads.

I wonder why no one ever catches the scammer. Mail fraud charges? I thought people can file those.

I don't want to jinx anything, but I have been on here for 5 years and never had a bad transaction. I think it helps if you actually spend some time on here before you start making trades and buying and selling. Using common sense and learning the ins and outs helps you from it.

I've never had any issues...just check feedback and by reading posts, you can figure out who you want to deal with

Yeah, I should have mentioned that in my short time here I've had nothing but positive dealings with everyone.

The number of bad traders just seems high, to judge by what I see in this forum. From a personal perspective, I have nothing but good things to say about everyone I've dealt with.

I love the fact BO member's watch out for each other ,so call out thread's are important . As far as bad trader's you will have your good or bad where ever you go.

well,
did the research, dealt w someone i had previously, read good things on ebay feedback comments and BO itrader .. and still got scammed (as BO seller racks up ebay negatives, and last BO sales thread is filled w 'where are my cards' or 'where is my refund' .. the seller logs on BO and on facebook but doesnt respond .. he even deletes comments / Qs over on facebook .. and the nerve to still try to sell items on facebook still

my call out thread is here:
Questionable activities by: nyauthenticink /aka why jimmy? why?

got scammed on scoundrel board, card talk and now blowout
not yet on nscf .. we'll see how long that lasts

I think its the multiplying factor. BO probably has 10 folds the BST other trade sites do. So naturally it would have that many more attempts of scams. Just my take on it.

I agree, you have to be carful of who you deal with. I have been through hundreds of transactions on here and don't remember being scammed once. Couple times I thought I was going to be but all ended well.
