So this person buys an item I have on a BIN ...

A few days later they message me "hey I will be paying tomorrow..."

I do not respond, but I give buyers more time than most sellers, so I didn't have an issue with that.

I get another e-mail a few days later "hey I will be paying today (Friday) just want to give you the heads up"

Again, I do not reply, this is pretty common in my experience.

Sunday comes (still no payment)... and they write me again saying "hey sorry I couldn't pay friday I had a family emergency, but I will pay within 2 days..."

I get a message yesterday saying "hey sorry I haven't paid yet, I'm still waiting on a few idiot customers to pay me so I can pay you"

This time I reply back... I ask them why they delayed payment so long (they bought the item on the 22nd), then changed their story. I tell them it's not that big of a deal as I give most customers up to 2 weeks to pay, but I would prefer to know what was going on...

He replies back "well now that I know you wait 2 weeks to get payment, I am going to buy another item, and not pay for 2 weeks just to see how honest you really are..."

I reply back to that saying that was pretty uncalled for and inform them that I was going to hold them to the 2 days they said they were going to pay in or I will have to file a NPB after a message like that...

They reply back to this with... "Do it now you have the audacity to threaten me I am not paying you a dime period....Furthermore if I get any more messages from you I am not only reporting you I will call ebay personally and make sure you never sell again".

Needless to say I filed the NPB report tonight and I STRONGLY recommend blocking this bidder.

Edit your BIN listings so buyers have to pay immediately.

I don't usually have issues like this and I find that alienates a lot of customers.

When did Ebay allow Buy It Nows to have the option to pay at a later date?

They always have as far as I know. The problem with immediate payment required is buyers that want to buy multiple cards to combine shipping. That's why I've never used IPR anyway.

I wish they had that option for BIN/OBO listings, I think it would work.

Say I have 50 on a card, some newbie zero assessment guy offers 40 on it an I accept. He doesn't pay for two days, someone else comes along and offers 40 also, I accept that offer, and they pay, so they get the card.

Could get a little messy, but I'm sure there is a way to make it work.

What they need to do is change BIN/BO to BO with immediate payment. That way the BIN/BO still stays running till the offer you accepted is paid for. Thats a good idea that ebay should take on.

I will never understand who people refuse to use the tools that ebay gives them. Sure people complain about the fees but then they give you gadgets like immediate payments and auto NPB wizard that you can use so you don't have issues like this.

I have had 2 people not pay since I started using these features.

Douche is blocked.
