The WORST Card Transaction I've Ever Had- eBay

This guy wins a high dollar auction of mine, a $500 sale. I normally allow like 4 days until opening a case, but this guy had like 450 feedback and was bidding on 2 $30 cards of mine as well (Which ended in 2 days at this point). He goes ahead and wins those 2 $30cards, and I immidiatley invoice. After not hearing anything for 2 days I send him a friendly reminder. Something like "Let me know when you can pay, I don't want to open a NPB case, If you work with me I can give you an extended period to pay".

I got no response to that, but he then started to offer on the card that is my avatar. We went back and forth with offers and agreed on a price of $815. I invoiced him again for all his purchases at this point.

Long story short, I send him around 5 messages, never got 1 response. He never paid, and I just opened a NPB case, about 1.5 weeks after I sold my Stanton to him and 3 since the $500 card.

So upset right now, really was excited to make a big purchase and now have to explain why I can'r go through with the deal (I never actually finalized this deal, but it was all but finished)

"***BEWARE!!!*** No payment on $699 card! ADD TO BLOCKED BIDDERS LIST!!!"

"DOES NOT PAY!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!" (2 of these from the same seller)

"BEWARE OF THIS BUYER. Never paid for the item even after given a second chance. "

"NEVER PAID! BECAREFULL DEALING WITH THIS GUY! LIKES TO WASTE YOUR TIME"

"NEVER PAID. LEFT 3 EMAILS AND NO RESPONSE. BEWARE!!!!!!!"

all the above are positives! I've never seen so many false positives.

Do people not know of a negative feedback option? Why is it that when things go wrong people give a negative review yet continue to leave positive feedback?

Ebay doesnt allow sellers to give buyers negative feedback. False positives are the only option.

Im getting so many of these fools just trolling ebay and bidding my auctions high and winning them but never pay!? have never thought about blocking people with the mindset "there is just 1 bad seed every great while" but this is getting to be such a waste of time selling on ebay! Added him to my block list - thanks!

Hate to hear about the negative experience bud. I know it sucks right now but when Stanton hits 80 bombs next year and you get triple the $ for the same card....I just always look for the silver lining. No excuse for the eBay time waster though. Karma will catch up to him. Wonder if he ever sells anything on eBay?

He does. I have bought cards from him without a problem, seems like he has problems with the buying part.

You cannot leave negative feedback for buyers on Ebay. Only positive. Even if they dont pay you can only leave positive or nothing at all.

Thanks Dean, I was still going to buy a Stanton item with the money and some extra cash, but I guess not anymore.

He may be trying to set the market for his redeemed redemptions too. Bid up the live card to $500, maybe his redeemed redemption would fetch $100 more.

so I figured out why this name was familiar with me. I did a $850 off ebay transaction with him on a Trout 09 Bowman Chrome Blue Auto, everything went perfect. I wonder what the heck happened in your particular case.

Stinks because the $500 card was the highest auction of that card, and I won't get near that anymore,.

This guy won one of my cards last week, didn't pay. Filed a NPB against him, still never paid. Closed case for nonpayment to get my fees back and re-listed. Card sold for $20 less second time around.

Then eBay has a pretty big flaw. They need to allow users to post negative feedback for buyers. This way more people can be aware of any non paying bidders, and we can have less of these threads around

I agree. Rumor has it they are doing something to change the system in the near future. However in the meantime if you are selling on Ebay you can put settings on your account that wont allow people with a certin amount of NPB strikes to bid on your items. I suppose this is Ebays idea of a truce. Sellers cant leave negative feedback so they have to give sellers some type of tool to battle NPBS.
