Just curious, if positive feedback is left...would the deal be done?
I shipped a card, got positive feedback for the deal, then 4 days later was told that the member hasn't received the cards yet. Just curious as to the protocol.

Please explain the situation a little better. It's odd that someone would leave you positive feedback before receiving his end of a deal.

Ive accidentally erased pm's containing a deal due to inbox filling up and then couldnt remember the member's name to attach feedback to resulting in lost potential feedback or having to wait in hopes that the buyer or seller leaves feedback to me first so I can return the favor. |

If feedback was left unintentionally or prematurely and the items are not received then I would say no the deal is obviously not done. You should be able to track the package and determine what's going on. If you are unable to do so and the package isn't received in 10 days i would offer a refund or substitution if it can be agreed upon with the buyer/trader.
Hopefully it gets to the destination and all stays positive. GL with unique situation.

If a seller leaves a positive feedback it does not mean a deal is done. They still have the normal time period (45 days i believe) to file a claim for whatever reason.
I once had an individual purchase an item from me on ebay and leave a feedback when he received the item (within a few days). 25-28 days later i went on ebay to find this person filed a claim for a damaged card. Long story short i lost the case and refunded the buyer. |

Deal is done.
Buyers/traders fault for leaving premature feedback. They can learn from their mistake.

As far as ebay/ paypal is concerned the deal is not done for atleast 45 days regardless if feedback was left or not.

If paypal is involved it still doesn't matter if it was ebay or here. Paypal says the buyer gets 45 days to file a claim regardless. It sucks, but you chose the best option to just refund rather than fight a losing battle.

Well I found the to autos that you sold me and said that you had shipped on ebay under another number within your state about 250 miles away from you?
I first checked eBay for the Mike Wallace and found it, I ask the seller how he obtained the card and he replied at a local card show a couple weekends ago, the asked me to check his completed listings for the Steve Smith auto and sure enough he had it! So I'm not sure what to do as far as feedback. I had accidentally left you feedback that was intended for another memmber with similar name. You did refund my money but were reluctant to believe my story. As you were saying you did not Believe me that I never received the cards after you swore you ship them to me and since I had already left you feedback it was kind of suspicious. I guess in the result is I finally got my money back but lose out on the cards I was looking forward to for a week and a half. And also feeling guilty because it did look like my story was suspicious since I had left you feedback before getting the cards. The eBay member seemed to want to help so maybe Ill give me a good deal on them still. |

Somebody is being a trickster in here ... LoL
and I like the whole cliff hanger situation going on too ... Did the seller get a premature feedback and dump the cards at a local show to dispose of the evidence... Or did the buyer pull a slick willy move and land some free cards .... I don't know about you , but I am on the edge of my seat and staying tuned

I can answer to the situation to help put it to rest. As far as I know, Freeman is a good seller and took care of it in the end.
1 I paid for cards 2 accidentally left him feedback while trying to leave for another member 3 never received the cards 4 found them on Ebay under an unknown seller 5 Freeman refunded my payment 6 we both spoke with the seller on Ebay to try and figure out how they got them and still not clear as how he did 7 seller helped by selliing one of the autos they had left to Freeman for "my unknown" price which Im sure was less than what he was trying to sell for so he lost out Im sure 8 I paid Freeman back the amount for the one auto, Freeman paid the Ebay seller and the seller sent the card straight to me! 9 Problem solved! I got one of the cards, Freeman got money for that one and the gracious Ebay seller probably lost out but was happy to help 10 So my positive early feedback held ground and all parties happy Last edited by Trueduckfan; 12-06-2012 at 02:53 PM. |
