This has been positively identified by members that have met/ dealt with Haiku in person

You see this gentleman lurking at card shows please alert your local authorities.

Now let's just match his face with a name and then we are getting somewhere...

I will say this.. The person I spoke with on the phone twice, who represented himself as Haiku, did not appear to me to be Asian. Can I be certain? Of course not. All I am saying is when I hung up, if someone were to ask me, what nationality is he... Asian would have been my last guess.

so let me get this straight...we are pretty much under the assumption that the AllStar kid and Haiku are working together?

With more than 1 being involved who knows who answered the phone. Haiku could have been in the back. And a lot of the Asians here in texas sound just like we do.

Dumb question. Now that we know who this schmuck is, how does he match up to Allstar?

A person that has met "Haiku" at a card show confirmed that's the person he met.

No, I was actually being serious. I would not joke about stuff like that. These kind of details could actually help.

There are a bunch of threads on this topic that haven't been deleted. Heck, the very first post in this thread has plenty of information on just a few of the "victims" of Haiku's scam.

No offense, but this is silly. If you talked to me over the phone, you would never think that I was Asian either

Do you still have his number since you spoke to him twice?

Exactly. This guy pulled off an intricate scam that took months of planning. Changing his diction or tone of voice to help with his scheme is certainly in the realm of possibility.

Not attempting to debunk- but what about the thought of that person at the card show just being a puppet? Haiku could have even been there in the background.

Yeah, it's probably time most people think of "Haiku" as a group rather than one person.

If the name is literal, I'm guessing it's 3 people.

But that is total speculation and I know one particular member is probably going to send me a PM about not doing that

I gave my rationale in the above post. I am not making any assumptions at all.

Once again, I am not answering that question.
It's pretty obvious what the answer is and I thought the same thing. I've never spoken to an Asian that sounded like the guy who represented himself as Haiku when I spoke with him.

Oh, I don't disagree. That's why I put the name in quotes. That's the person that claimed to be haiku but of course that may have been a front.
