I remember someone in another thread saying we would be surprised if we knew how wealthy Haiku really is . Anybody remember who said that?

Thanks for the entertaining morning read.

For the few times I have paid by gift I know at the time of purchase the money is gone and will never be back. Of course the list of people I would send gift to is very short.

Can I get a super-simplified Cliff Notes version of what happened?

Dude runs some lot sales or something - I'm hearing "too good to be true" - then makes away with the cash never to be heard from again? Is that it?

What is the $ figure that you estimate he is getting away with? Like $100? or $1000?

I would love to stop it, but it is pretty hard to not feel bad for oneself when you get scammed like I did. Of course I wish everyone would give me $1 for the amount that I got ripped off. I know it isnt going to happen, but at this point I am so upset that I dont even mind asking for a sad hand out

That's the price you pay for sending a stranger paypal without knowing what you're getting. He can send you all lumps of coal if he chooses. File that in your paypal claims when they asked you what you purchased.

Call the police, call paypal...tell them what you purchased.

Uhh...I purchased a mystery lot. I don't know what I purchased.

Sounds smart. Catch the guy and he sends you a piece of poop in the mail. You get what you pay for if you buy blindly.

It'll be interesting to see this unfold.

Scammed or not, shame on people for throwing so much money around at a complete stranger.

I hope it works out well for everybody. All parties involved. Including Jay.

I'm not out a dime, so it is what it is. But I can't say I feel any sympathy towards anybody.

Duuuude are you really asking for $1 ??? I don't think anyone is gonna or will pay for your lack of better judgement here... I didn't even post in his giveaway threads nor asked or dealt with this guy.I always thought to myself something seemed to good to be true with it all or he is stinking rich and simply played the odds. The writing was on the walls for everyone to see and I am sorry for you and others who got robbed but expect little pitty in return

He never allowed gift as payment. If anyone did gift he refunded you and sold the lot to someone else.

Supposedly this guy was rich, but then needed a bunch of money and made lots for avaerage working class people to buy. It's sad to see this happen to you guys. I would think, if I was rich, why would I waste my time on this forum when I could go to any card show or bid on eBay for any card I want. It doesn't make sense.

Agreed - there is a VERY short list of members who have dealt with each other and feel comfortable doing this.

With a member that has only been around 6 months and to purchase
mystery lots.... ignorant.

No doubt, but you keep those opinions to yourself and you do not stomp on people when they're down.

I have no idea who this guy is, or what he sold ... but I do know a lot of people on this forum lost a lot of money as a result, and I would not be so cold as to say this situation is "entertaining".

Shame on you.

Most def- he had probably learned from a few that my "name" can tend to ruffle a few feathers even without any fish in the beak....so he knew whom to roll with.

Maybe he got this way from the money grubbing whores on this site who begged him for money and the 60-70 pm's a day asking for super deals on a some cards to flip and make a profit? I did send him a message about a week ago asking how he had so much awesome HIGHEND cards and he said he buys in HUGE lots of cards. I doubt the guy is out to rob someone though..
