At one time Freaks had one of the best member protection verified traders programs on the net. Everyone worked for free.

There will be a site. Some of us on the forum aren't just looking to make a buck off another member. I'm new to this site and everything. But I'd bet my entire collection that he cancels his account and tries to start a new one and start scamming all over again. Mods need to ban not just him but his IP address as well. Just my two cents on this.

Just for the record this does nothing but waste time. As soon as you reboot your machine your get a new ISP, same with going to a different machine.

Just the same as an email address. You can get one anywhere.

Mailing addresses can be changed (PO Box, Street/Rd/Drive, etc)

We get a lot of help from members on here when they see something that looks funny. Sometimes its nothing, and sometimes we can catch stuff early on, some times not.

If it looks to good to be true it probably is. When it doubt dont do it. Always pay with paypal and back it with a credit card. You as a buyer have a double check against any issues. Just the same when in doubt as a seller you insure the package and at this point there's no reason for a seller to not be using tracking for any domestic packages.

Just to add to what Fish just said, I have a VPN. I can change my IP address instantly.

I can be in California in a matter of seconds... or Chicago, Switzerland, Germany, etc.

It boggles my mind how anyone could genuinely, truly trust other people on the Internet that he/she does not know in person. Phone calls, texts and emails don't mean squat. Reputation and perception are fleeting, fragile things in this hobby.

I made one mistake sending $400 PP Gift when I was starting out in cards years ago, and never again. I'd like to believe other people learn lessons even just from reading up on situations like this, but unfortunately that won't be the case as scamming will always continue....

The blowout forum is a "subsidiary" of the blowoutcards card seller.
Its primary intention is NOT the community
(dont mention THIS site or THAT site or your post will get deleted)
It is to drive customers to their website.
Thats all well and good.
I like not having to look at a million ads.
I respect that its part of a business and so I dont bring up or link people to other sites.

its a business and they dont want to promote the competetion , makes perfect sense.
however, the onus of treating it like a business is not just on the user.

This site probably has the highest number of users on at any one time.
But just 2 mods.
Other sites with 1/10th the traffic have a mod or 2 for every subforum.

In the end all of these boards are a free and a "privilege" and I appreciate that.

I dont like seeing a bazillion scam threads.
and I do wonder how community based boards with minimal operating budgets
have far more mods then the one that is part of a business.

They even have this incredible little thing called a trade manager,
so when people get scammed there is a record of it beyond "did you save the pm's?"
