To start I will say unless enough people tell me that I was wronged I will not say the buyers name.
Anyways, through messages I agreed to a deal on ebay, however, we agreed we would continue the conversation through blowout, as ebay does not permit you to sent paypal addresses. He said he had created an account, however it was awaiting activation. Anyways, fast-forward a few days, and I am getting considerable interest in the card, so I sent him a message saying taht if he still wanted it to please message me. Fast-forward 2 more days (to last night) and I still don't have a response, so I check and he has left feedback for people in the previous day. So I send him a message saying please tell me whether or not you're interested. He replied very quickly, Quote:
I don't care so much that he chickened out of the deal, as I sold the card earlier today, however it bothers me that he lied his way out of deal. Am I wrong to be bothered by this?

I know, and he seemed so polite through the first messages, but do you think this can be expected in the hobby.

You got dry humped.
It happens, but just a lesson to not hold cards for someone you don't know. Especially for these types of off-eBay deals.

If you had considerable interest in the card, then sell it to one of the other people who want it and move on.

Like I said, I sold the card the day after he said he lost interest, it's just kind of irritating.

yah, explain to me why this is thread worthy?
would love to know why you feel the need to air out my messages to you, and then, you sell the card and are still complaining??? i didnt want the card, sorry i didnt state that, i would rather fill out my topps chrome set than your card. this makes you look very foolish, and for me, if people want to think im an donkey, thats your opinion. mad over sports cards, wow! |

Just trying to figure out if this is a regular occurrence in the hobby, or if this guy is just one of the irritating people you'd find in any hobby/line of business.
