A question about ebay practices...

Hello all...

I'm not sure if this is the place to post this; if it's not, please move it to the appropriate area.

I've been on ebay for about 10 years, but I keep a pretty low profile, so I'm not trying to get anyone in trouble. I'm just genuinely curious...

I was searching for GQ stuff in general and found these two listings...

Is this allowed? I guess there's nothing terrible going on here, but seems like a sketchy way to sell stuff.

Anyway, just wondering. Thanks for reading and for any info anyone can offer.

Just seems like he made a mistake, maybe he forget he had the BIN up when he listed the other or vice versa.

I've seen this a few times. Ebay doesnt do anything. Similiar to people listing as a lot and separately and saying will only sell to whatever is higher. Should wait till last second for a min bid and a bin and see what he does

It is allowed but it will now cost the seller money if nees if he has bids on his auction style listing and then the BIN is hit. Seller would have to pay FVF on any value of the highest bid on his auction.

Of course seeing his prices on these items he has nothing to worry about.

He told me it was just a mistake, changed the BIN.

Thanks for the info and update. Again, wasn't trying to get him in trouble, just thought it was odd to see; I'd never seen a double-listing like that. I see people report so many shady ebayers on this forum, I wouldn't put anything past anyone. Saw the new listing... I hear you jlzinck.

Usually it notifys me if I double list or just ends one.
