Default NPB Case?

Sunday night at 930 EST my Austin Meadows Purple Auto sold for $732. The high bidder has over 9000 positive feedback, albeit private. I have sent an invoice and 4 messages to the seller without response. Any advice on what to do from here would be great, as I could really use the $700.

It depends on what your state and federal laws say. Here in Germany you are entering a binding contract of sale by federal law when placing a bid on eBay. So in your case I'd have my attorney handle the case who will issue a default summons to the buyer and if the buyer doesn't react to the default summons within 14 days the court will issue an enforcement order so you can seize his salary, bank accounts, etc.

I know $700 is a lot of money to just be hanging out there, but it hasn't quite been 3 days since the auction end. No replies to your messages does suck, but that said I'd still give it another day or two.

I personally file after 4 calendar days. If guys need additional time I'm willing work with them (within reason). I'd file if he's not answering your PM's though after 4 days (I think it's eBay policy for min 4 days... could be off by a day on that though). My $0.02 anyways... Good luck, and hope it works out.

I usually don't send any message to the buyer till the 3rd day and it would only be 1 message. You sending him 4 message he might be a little turned off by it. I know you might need the money, but if he has over 9000 feedback you have to just back off a little.

I know a lot of high end buyers take 2-3 days to pay. I have a feeling R Cohen from FL that bought your card...he is good for it...

Yeah man, that's a lot of communication after only 2.5 days. If the buyer has 9000+ 100% feedback, he'll most likely pay, but he's just biding his time. Open the NPB after 4 days, and no more communication with the buyer until around Sunday/Monday. Just my opinion.

Mike no need to send him 4 messages, if he does not pay after 4 days open a NPB. Not much else you can do at this point but hope the buyer pays. Hopefully this ends well for you, good luck.

Patience. He will definitely pay.

As a buyer you understand payment is owed. As a seller make certain you don't 'over' contact.

I never knew you can sue someone for not paying

The first couple messages were general thank you for bidding type messages. Would have liked a response regardless.

I know you want paid, but 4 messages in 3 days is probably a bit much. Open the UPI after 4 days. With 9k+ feedback I wouldn't worry about him not paying.

Lmao at getting a lawyer involved. Good luck with that.

It all depends on your federal or state laws. Like I've said before, by German federal laws you enter a legal and binding contract of sale as soon as you click on the "Bid now"/"Buy it now" button. And once the court issued the enforcement order to seize the non-paying highest bidder's capital, this enforcement order is valid for 30 years. So even if the non-paying highest bidder might be broke at the time of the first legal enforcement, the enforcement order can be used for 30 years and as soon as the non-paying highest bidder has a dime at his disposal, it will be seized in your favour.

Impatient sellers shouldnt sell on ebay
Most of the monkeys over there take 5-7 days to pay
Ebay, regardless of what you put in your listing, gives them 7 days
Settle down and sit back.,
