Default Avoid this member!

A deal was agreed upon, he backed out with an excuse and never responded, despite being online and now he leave me neutral feedback. Who can I talk to about having the feedback removed?

Thanks, I do have a reserve on it so we shall see if it actually leaves my hands. That BGS 10 definitely helps it out, especially being a thicker NT card.

So what card(s) did he finally agree on buying? All 5 or just one?

a total of 5 cards for $71.56 and then he backed out and didn't buy any.

gray area to me - I never see him actually agree to 71.56 for all five. Looks to me like he asked 70 for the three and to throw in the other two on top. Thoughts?

^^^^ Exactly how I read it... he wanted all 5 for $70...you came back and said $71.56.... he never agreed to that... and then he didn't want the other 4, and no agreement was made after....

You almost had a deal, but I don't think a deal was actually made. That's my opinion based on the information given...

I remember commenting on this in your Football thread. With the new info and timeline, it does look like there was never a concrete deal in place.

Sucks that he backed out at the last second, but at the same time there was no final transaction in my opinion. If it had been left at the 5 cards for $70 then yes, but that little extra exchange for $71.56 gave him room to back out. Not excusing the buyer's questionable tactics, but I just don't think there was a deal in place that would allow for feedback from either party.

That's how I read it, too. Kind of strung you along, but asking for the additional $1.56 and not having him agree to it makes it a gray area.

We had a deal at $70 for 3 cards and then he said he would give me an additional $1.56 for 2 more cards. To me, it was him making an offer and me accepting. If you put an offer on something on ebay and the seller accepts, you can't then backout. That's how I see it.

I just don't see that. From the PMs you posted, it only looks like he asked if you would add those extra cards, not that he would definitively pay for all of them.

Again, not excusing him for backing out, just saying that I don't think there was a deal there in the end.

Not a concrete offer in my opinion, no. If I received that message, I would think he asked if I could do $70 for all 5, not the $71.56 you came back with.

This is getting into semantics, but the point is it's difficult to assume that you know what the person means from an initial PM such as the above from the buyer.

But I never even brought up the $71.56, that was him. We had a deal for 3 cards for $70 and he threw out the $71.56 for 2 more cards.

Like I said though, to me it just read as him saying that's what he had available after selling other stuff. If he had said something like, "I have $71.56 available, I can give all of it for so-and-so cards" then it would be much clearer. He quoted $70 right after though, so I can see how it can lead to different interpretations when you came back with the other number.

It's gray, I'm just trying to say that the PMs can be seen differently in regards to whether there was a transaction set.

If you doubted he was at fault, I think the last message he sent to me kinda sums it up.

" honestly just wanted to apologize, looking at the situation i did act like a jerkoff and thats not at all how i operate. Ive been swamped with having a newborn son and my mom was recently in the hospital after suffering a stroke, so havent been myself alot lately. So i sincerly apologize for the whole situation."

Neither one of us wanted a crappy transaction to take place but at the end of the day it did. Oh well.

I absolutely think the buyer was at fault for getting cold feet, I wasn't debating that. Unfortunate circumstance and outcome, but I'm just saying I don't think there was enough there to actually leave feedback for a transaction.
