Default eBay Member balex1962 - Make sure to BAN

This guy is a real piece of work.

About five weeks ago, he offered me $440 for my Ozuna Purple Auto #1/10 and $600 for my Orange Seager Auto #1/25 and Gold Seager Auto #47/50. He paid immediately, received the cards, and thanked me.

The next day, he listed the cards on eBay trying to flip them ...

Item number:111068645406
Item number:111068653212
Item number:121107341279

8 days after he received the cards and listed them, he filed three "item not as described" cases with Paypal. This of course was after the Ozuna boom, and after Seager went on the DL (minor injury but likely the reason). Paypal immediately froze the funds. Today, after three weeks of frozen funds, Paypal emailed me to inform me I've "lost" and the items will be returned at which point the money will be returned to Balex1962. At no point did Paypal ask me for information or even my statement ... they just sided with the buyer.

This eBayer never reached out to me, contacted me, only hid behind Paypal to get a bogus refund. The sad reality of this is that any buyer can do this at any time for any reason ... they will get their money back. Whether you buy through eBay or not, does not matter.

So I ask you to block this person from your auctions, because if he is not able to resell the item; he will file a claim through Paypal.

Beware ...

Thanks! Blocked as well.

I just had a similar situation this week. Sold a rare Pujols RC for $200. Guy pays immediately and I mail immediately. A couple days ago I get a message from the guy, 'Mailing item back to you, will forward tracking info soon'. So I reply back nicely saying, 'No worries. Can I ask why you want to return it? Just out of curiosity...'

Haven't heard back from the guy or gotten a tracking #. It really is frustrating!! Glad I'll be done with eBay in a month or so...

And PayPal would be dumb enough to accept an empty package with a tracking number as a "return", without any investigation or proof. I've had too many problems as a seller, selling electronics. Buyer would claim DOA or not working properly, etc, send me back an empty box with a tracking number, PayPal sided with buyer. It's ludicrous.

He once tried to sell me a card that was on an active auction. I called him out and he said he had planned to win the auction and sell to me. It was funny...

I've sold a lot on ebay over the years and never had problems like I hear about with cards. Must be the high percentage of speculating low lifes without a conscience. When I dump, I'll do it here or at a show.

so let me ask you (I don't sell often on ebay - very rarely - and when I do, the cards are worth between a couple of bucks to about $10 max), but when someone files Paypal, does the buyer send the card back to you THEN get's his money?

And if this is the case, couldn't he just send over an empty envelope with tracking showing you recieved it, and get his money back?

OP, you need to fight this....protest the decision. present to paypal/ebay what you did to us....you may be able to reverse this.

Never had anything as bad as this, but what I have learned about cases with eBay, is that as soon as you think something might not go in your favor, CALL. Every time I've talked to someone I've won, and each time I was the seller. (only happened 3 times, but still 3 times too many)

Doesn't he have to open the case with eBay first since it was done there, not with Paypal? May have misunderstood, nevermind, thought original purchase took place on ebay.

What I would do is report all his auctions with stolen pictures.

First part, sadly, everyone should already have known.

Second part, done

That pic of him is when he was younger. If you are going to stalk, do it right.

Major douche move. I went to block him, but saw he was already on my list. I can't remember if he screwed me once or I just took someone else's advice previously. At any rate, he is a well known DB. My list of "blocked ids" is getting massive (at least 300-400 to date). Sorry you had to deal with this scumbag.

Make sure to use a lower case b. I had the same issue when I tried it with a capital B.
