Default Really? A neg feedback for this?

I just cant believe this guy gave me a neg feedback so I have to share....

This guy bought from my Ebay last Sat night.. I sold 40 items so I went to P.O. Monday morning and dropped off packages...On Thurs 4/3 I get a message from him...(these are copied from my Ebay messages)...

he says : Package is saying delivered. I have not received the package.


....I looked, tracking showed delivered on Tues 4/2. I was online and immediately replied back.

I wrote "Hi, I see its "delivered" yesterday... That's out of my hands, I'm sorry. I sent out on Monday morning. from that point on its usps control. Sometimes the tracking info is not accurate. I've seen it often, doesn't show any info but its been sent..or was delivered but says enroute, or says delivered and hasn't yet...
So See if it shows up today. Speak to your mailman, ask if he left the package yesterday. were you home when mail delivered? next step would be going to post office with tracking #. let me know, thanks


Well I guess one of my suggestions was right because he got it on Fri, and leaves me negative feedback(my 1st). In the feedback comments only thing he writes is...
"out of my control" obviously referring to what i wrote. I could understand if that was the only thing I said rudely, but I said sorry, gave a few reasons for why it could be, a few suggestions on what to do, and to let me know....
Yes I did call Ebay, Yes they read the messages between us, and yes they agreed it was ridiculous, and yes they removed the neg. I'm sure someone on here will find fault but ....come on man..

yes, tracking was just not accurate,... and we have all seen that happen

Talk to ebay customer service, I had a similar situation and had the negative feedback removed.

Guy sounds like a real gem. Lots of a-holes out there, sorry for the trouble but glad it got fixed!

Yea right.. I started to type a message to him after the neg was removed, telling him but then i thought it was best to just let it go, put him on my ban list and keep it moving.

Yep, no reason to message him at all. Glad Ebay actually stood up for the seller for once.

These types of Feedback comments may be removed:

Feedback that only refers to a listing's structured details when there aren't contradictory words or photos in the description. Structured details include:

Item condition

Item specifics

Sales tax

Return policy

Combined postage

Accepted payments

Example: If an item was listed with Used selected as the Item Condition, and negative Feedback only stated the item was "used," the Feedback is removed.

Negative or neutral Feedback stating a seller "did not respond," but we determine that the seller responded to the buyer's email in good faith, using member to member messages.

Negative or neutral Feedback as a result of the following situations:

A buyer requested the cancellation of the sale due to no fault of the seller, and the seller cooperated with the buyer's request.

A buyer made a request that was clearly different from what was stated in the listing, and the seller didn't accommodate the request. For example, a buyer left negative Feedback because they requested a different delivery method than what was offered in the listing, and the seller refused.

Negative or neutral Feedback related solely to:

Customs delays or customs fees.

Item non-delivery, when shipment tracking shows the item was delivered. Signature confirmation is required for items over $750.

Shipping time, when the item is Fast 'N Free and the item was delivered by the shipping carrier's estimated delivery date.

An item's delivery time when a buyer provided an undeliverable address and the item was returned to the seller or held at the shipping facility.

An item's delivery time, when a buyer paid for an item more than 3 days after a sale was completed. (If a buyer is allowed to combine shipping on multiple purchases more than 3 days after a sale, this type of Feedback won't be removed.)

Negative or neutral Feedback left when the seller won an eBay Money Back Guarantee or PayPal Purchase Protection case.
