Cool WTB: Morgan and American Eagle Silver Dollars

Looking to start collecting coins on the side and have decided to start with the old Morgan Silver Dollars and 1 troy Oz American Eagle coins.
PM what you have and how much you are looking to get. Wanting to stay around spot if possible but if the Morgans are really nice like UNC I will pay more. I don't want any Proofs right now. Please make sure the coins are not Clad or Fakes. The Morgans should weigh 26.73 Grams if you have a scale handy. There are a few sites where you can check daily spot pricing and what each coins silver content value is for the day.

This is a sportscard forum I doubt people have a scale to prove the weight of a coin... I have some smaller stuff lmk nothing high dollar just some 90% silver halves and seated stuff.

Yes that's true. I figured some people might have a scale if they have to weigh the envelopes to print out labels.

Anyway, What halves do you have I might be interested but I was really trying to start with the dollars.
Thanks

I think everyone should own a cheap digital scale. I'm just not in the market to sell my silver. Free bump tho.

if people are faking low grade morgans they are pretty dumb lol.. they are only worth about $30 max and the casting has to be at least $10 or so to produce.

I have bought and sold over 500 morgans in my life.. they are definetely fun to own.. GL to you OP

see them at auction house all the time .. this may be a sports forum , but its a collectors forum none the less.. and there are lots of diff things people collect ..

i bought some george washington $1 , set with proofs. the morgans and silver dollars and half dollars were going pretty pricey so i got out pretty quick.. maybe give a little education on them , so as i might buy them up next time and give you a shout.

That was my favorite thing about being a cashier, other than getting to throw a kid through a glass freezer door for stealing Mad Dog 20/20.

Morgan's are a lot of fun to collect. Good luck, Braves!

You must realize, spending some time on this forum, that people here collect ALL SORTS of weird and wacky things. I have a scale that can read that fine a weight.
