here is a list of things going on that day after the race... One of the few things that enhances the second-to-none action on the track at Bristol Motor Speedway is a party after the dust settles. And a St. Patrick’s party takes it up another notch. The World’s Fastest Half-Mile celebrates the festive holiday in style with plenty of live entertainment, food and drinks – including green beer – games and plenty of giveaways during the March 16 festivities. Country music’s Phoenix Stone, whose single "100 Proof Moonshine" is climbing the charts, takes the stage at approximately 7 p.m. Stone also is a celebrity judge on the new NBC talent competition, "Next Great Family Band", alongside American Idol alum Kimberly Locke. Tim Montana and His Shrednecks open for Stone. Reality stars, Tim and Tickle, of Discovery Channel’s “Moonshiners” fame also are part of the St. Patrick’s Day celebration lineup. “Moonshiners” is a docudrama profiling the lives of people in the Appalachian Mountains; in this case, ones who produce moonshine – and not the over-the-counter kind. Along with the special green beer, a variety of other beers will be available, as well as food and plenty of interactive games, including a mechanical bull and cornhole. The St. Patrick’s Day party kicks off directly after the K&N Pro Series East 125 takes the checkered flag at approximately 6 p.m. Entrance into the party is free to anyone with a March race ticket or iBelong card while food and drinks may be purchased. But it does not stop there as Food City 500 race day dawns March 17 and fans are encouraged to wear green. BMS officials get into the spirit by bringing a touch of the celebration by turning Beaver Creek, the waterway that winds through the display and hospitality areas of the property, a bright shade of green in a final tip of the tweed cap to the holiday. The K&N Pro Series East 125 follows Jeff Foxworthy’s Grit Chips 300 Nationwide Series race. Tickets for the doubleheader are available, starting at $35 for adults and $17 for kids 15 and under.
