I think that's great news! There is some great talent in the WEC, and they are very exciting to watch. It would be nice to see a bigger spotlight on the lighter weight divisions. The matches they put on are exciting to watch.

There will be atleast 4 UFC events on Versus which most likely will heavily feature WEC rosters with some UFC. This is good and bad. I'm happy that the lighter fighter will get a chance to make more money and more people will see them now. |

Business wise this is the smartest move the UFC can make. There were semi-stars in the WEC who could have been making a ton of money but weren't because the WEC wasn't making a ton of money. Could you imagine what Faber would have been making in the UFC if his weight class was there when he was champ? Kid was a fan favorite and gained noteriety from ESPN and other sports writers/companies. He wasn't making what he should have been. Now they are all on the same payscale!!!!
