Default Spider vs. GSP Super Fight is a HORRIBLE Idea

Having them fight once is dumb. Just let them fight each other every 6 months for the next few years.

Depends. Once is fine if someone is completely dominated, but if it's a close match, I agree...

Well something has to give in the UFC, these guys are dominating to the point of boredom.Letting them fight sounds like a good idea on the surface but after that then what? Nothing will ever match up to that again. One huge payday for the UFC yes, but this would hurt them in the long run. Although as a fight fan that is a very intriguing matchup.

How can you say its boring to watch these guys dominate. It fascinates me how easy these guys make it look. Im glad Silva got an impressive KO because his last few fights were lackluster. GSP on the other hand is amazing to watch. Its like whats he gonna beat the next guy with. Is he going to out wrestle him or stand up and showcase his crisp kickboxing. As far as a superfight i do believe it will do more harm then good because you know after the fight one of them will be thrown under the bus. Id still love to see it though.

I understand what you are saying. Boring may have been the wrong choice of words. I do think that most people who follow the UFC closely are pretty much in agreement that the only fighters out there that can beat Silva and GSP are each other. Who knows anything can happen. I remember at one point when Lidell was peaking that I thought he was unbeatable then in 3 of his next 4 fights he got knocked out with Tom & Jerry cartoon like violence. Time will tell. Anybody know what the parameters of the fight will be? Will GSP have to move up or Silva move down?

GSP would def have to move Silva is just to big to move down. Thats why GSP had said if the time comes that they fight he wants time to pack on some muscle the right way and not just gain weight to step up.

As long as their performing with KO's or tapouts, it doesnt bother me. When Silva had his two weak, wacky fights where he was dancin or whatever the WHOLE time, that got annoying pretty quick.
