Dont really "follow" UFC hardcore or anything, but i know names/fighters.
Doesnt really seem to be too much besides the 2 ME: Aldo/Florian and Edgar/Maynard. But i guess thats what everyone pays for anyways. Maybe the Lauzon and Sonnen fights might be worth watching. Dont know either in the Featherweight fight. Might turn it on if UT/GA gets out of hand. Any thoughts? |

Sonnen talks big, but he won't even come close to beating Silva this time. Sonnen was using performance enhancing drugs last fight between them too

Yeah he pretty much dominated that fight as well. Taking his opponent down at will, locking or close to locking in submissions several times before finally ending it.
Dont know much about his past fights, other than the Silva fight. But that was some pretty big talk, and pretty big stipulations. If i win, you leave the divison. If you win, i leave UFC forever. Kinda reminds me of the "retirement angles" or "loser leaves town" gimmicks in professional wrestling. Not sure if Dana would actually hold these stipulations true or not. And i wouldnt say FLorian is dominating either, but hes definately in control. Not really much going on in that match so far. |

wow...umm..really??
id say Aldo won 3rd and 5th round...but unanimous 49-46 all across the board? thats questionable imo the other 3 rounds were so up in the air, Florian landing more punches/leg kicks..but Aldo landing more POWERFUL shots, and had him on the ground-however he didnt do anything with it..he just held him down that was it... very wierd decision imo |

If anything it should have been a 48-47 decision. There was no way Aldo won that lopsided. I know the challenger has to do something very significant to win the decision, but it was closer than what the judges scored it.

Tonight was a great night of fights! I order every PPV, and this one is one of the best all around cards for a long while. Very pleased!

I was really surprised by Edgar. I thought Maynard had this one in the bag, but Edgar proved he's a real champ. What a great fight!
