I just pulled the Nick Diaz Remption card

I just bought packs for the first time this year. I went to my local shop wanting a box or two of the new WWE cards hoping to get a good daniel bryan or aj lee. guy never ordered it so i was bummed. didn't want to waste the trip so I bought 2 packs of the 2012 topps ufc knockouts at $20 each. the owner asked me what's the hot card in mma right now and i said "well, there's a nick diaz redemption that's been #1 in the hot list in beckett for a while now and it's worth around 150. first pack had a renzo gracie auto. there was just a story of him live tweeting after stopping a mugging or something so i thought that's cool. second pack had the NICK DIAZ FULL CONTACT REDMPTION!! WOOHOOOO!. i have the worst luck in packs and boxes and this is by far the best pull of my life. mind you i probably only buy 2-3 boxes worth of packs a year, but still. i've never experienced such a rush of excitement from opening a pack. i bought a couple packs and got the big card i was hoping to get .
anyway, should i sell the card now or hold on to it? he is one of my fav fighters, but i feel like the card could only go down in value with nick being the half crazy type of person he is.

redemptions are live so redeem it first, then sell. it is his first auto though, which will hold value over time after subsequent releases.

Sell it. Given Topps' and Diaz's history, he probably didn't sign many and/or Topps will run out and Topps will end up replacing it with something well under actual market value.

They are individually #/99, but that doesn't necessarily mean there will be 99 of them issued.

i couldn't help myself and redeemed it. never pulled a valuable card like this of someone i really like. he's one of my favorites in mma history. don't want to treat opening packs like scratch off lotto tickets.

I Agree, Hold his cards till he fights GSP. That fights been in the works for sometime,also any Rory Macdonald cards should be worth holding on to also. He trains with GSP and has been on a tear lately. I should have a box of Bloodlines coming tomorrow and hope to have some good pulls. Topps's redemption system is turning into a joke.I still havent got my Jose Aldo Auto fighter relic yet from the Knockout line. I also pulled a Dana White Auto VIP pass from the 2012 finest I hope to win that trip!

I pulled 2 in the same box and just received from topps in the mail last week. Both were a little banged up on the corners so I posted on ebay, they sold in less than 10 mins. one was 57/99 and the other 59/99.

I also pulled a gold triple threads Faber/Brown/Aldo #8/9 and a Condit Auto. I have a case on its way that I was going to break a couple boxes out of and will post what I get.
