Default Next seasons "tuf 18"...

Female coaches (rousey and winner of tate vs zingano), and going to have both male and female fighters in the house. Should be interesting.

Hmm, I bet you wouldn't say that to their faces though.

i cant understand why dana wouldnt accept womens mma into the ufc to begin with. plenty of females love mma. this is a no brainer. expect the new tuf ratings to go through the roof .

Because it took awhile for his great business sense to outweigh his misogyny and homophobia. He's come a long way in the last 3-5 years, and I applaud him for it. And even if it is just the chance at increasing his and the company's bank accounts that has caused this change, it is still a good example for the sport's world and society at large.

Why is it stupid?
Rousey applies judo to her fights better than anyone in MMA.

She can probably teach, guy or girl, a lot about judo and different techniques to applying armbars.

Does she apply it the best or is she just leaps and bounds above her competition to the point where she can apply it with ease?

A mixture of both TBH.
Only Rick Hawn has anywhere close to her judo background.
Manny Gamburyan has a judo background and he just doesnt use it as much as he should.
So yeah she does apply it best but she is also far above anyone shes going to face.

If I was a fighter looking to shore up my throws and armbar techniques, I want to be on her team!

I'm not doubting how good the women are, or how they will be at coaching. I just think its a little too much at the moment. Like Dana is trying to full on blast women in the UFC all at once. Headlining, then coaching. I think they should give it a little more time and publicity and have a few more women fighters in the UFC before having them on TUF

I'd be interested in seeing women in TUF, but I don't think it would hold my attention for more than an episode or two. I'm more into guys fighting than women. While the women that will be coaching are good fighters, I just simply don't care for women fighters in general.

That's the whole point of TUF, to introduce a lot of women to the UFC audience

I can't be the only one who hopes some douchy arrogant male fighter steps into the ring with Rousey and gets his ass kicked.

Should be an interesting season
