Default Any vintage MMA collectors out there?

I have been collecting UFC posters and fight memorabilia after somewhat being inspired by this Sherdog post My UFC/Pride Collection + MMA Man Cave - Sherdog Mixed Martial Arts Forums
(i.e. the greatest collection I have ever seen).

Some of my collecting highlights include:

UFC 1: The Beginning Poster (took me over 3 years before I finally found one that has been authenticated and then professionally "preservation fit" framed)

UFC 2,3, 4, and 5 posters (all in somewhat rough condition)

UFC Ultimate Ultimate signed by entire fight card (poster was once owned by an SEG fighter that participated on the card)

Pride 1 Conference Poster

Fight Worn
Gary Goodridge UFC 8 Fight Used Towel
Joe Riggs Bellator Fight worn gloves

Cards
UFC Round 1 Auto set (missing Anderson Silva and Royce Gracie)
Leaf MMA Metal set
Leaf MMA near set
UFC Series 4 near set

Does anyone else have any cool fight worn or unique SEG era stuff out there?

Nice stuff, and definitely hard to get. I had all the original VHS tapes, but eventually replaced them.

I really like the UFC Grill Gear cards as for the new stuff. Kind of sad I missed out on the Chael Sonnen Grill gear card (I am a fan of his). If someone out there ever wants to move that card, let me know.

Just so you know, the mouthpieces in most of these cards were never even used. I know the Sonnen was never molded to his mouth, so most likely never even put it in his mouth. These grill gear "cards" are huge though. Of course with Topps, anytime they have a good idea, they figure out a way to screw it up.

You are right, I just noticed that there were no zero bitemarks on that mouthpiece i.e. unused. Oh Chael....

On the other hand, the KJ Noons and Louis Gaudinot, for example, show clear wear.

Nice stuff! Cool Goodridge towel although I'm not sure he even broke a sweat at UFC 8 . Here are my few contributions to the thread.

I have a bunch of original Pride pamphlets from the events. Thinking of selling some off soon. Gotta keep my Fedor / Crocop event pamphlet though.

That's pretty cool Rutten card. I really love the oddball stuff because its cheap and they tell a history. For example, I think you can get a pride 1 press pass for 50.00 or 60.00 bucks if you look hard enough.

I think I saw Mark Kerr's Fighter Pass up a few weeks ago. It is of course a bit more but it was a legend in Pride for a while there.

Is there a demand for Pride programs? I have about 10 from different events, but will be selling a few of them.

Cool Barnett card. How did Barnett give it to you? He fought overseas for a while.

As for Pride programs, there is some demand, but not as much as a couple of years ago. It depends on the fight card but most range in the 20-50.00 range.

Let me know what programs you have.

I'm close friends with Megumi Fujii. Through her, I met Josh and have met him several times.

I'll check on which ones I have.

That's cool on Megumi. I remember reading about her when she was 22-0. She ever think of coming fighting in Invicta FC and more MMA weight classes in UFC? I heard they are creating a smaller weight class.

I read that she wants to start a family though.

She recently retired. A very sad day for MMA.

Yeah, she retired a few months ago. I went to the event but she got caught with a poke in the eye and the doctor had to stop the fight. Terrible finish for a retirement match.

2006 Allen & Ginter Randy Couture.

Not rare by any means, but pre-dates Topps UFC card sets by 3 years.

That Shamrock pancrase card has his name as Wayne Shamrock. Middle name?

Yes, they used his middle name on the 1996 set also. Who knows why?!?
