While I see UD as more of a Oligopoly than a Monopoly, I think they have the free will to use their market power cooperatively through collusion, price leadership, or indirect means of supporting prices above competitive levels.

I wondered how long it would take one of the online only stores to do this. IMO the card companies idea of "saving" the LCS is just silly. The world is always changing and trying to force a method of delivery on the public it just backwards thinking. They really need to find a way to embrace the change and make it work to their advantage...

lol, too true. UD signed Griffey to an exclusive autograph contract ages ago - I've had a love/hate relationship with them ever since. I have a whole box full of expired Griffey redemptions to look at if I ever start liking them again.

I know this is an Upper Deck post, and eff them for their ridiculous distribution policy but based on the above definition, shouldn't Topps be getting sued right now for cornering the market on licensed baseball cards?
