I hate Bonds with a passion, however I don't believe steroids made him the HR Champion alone. I'm sure it helped hit the long ball, but he had a good eye. He was able to pick and choose his hits. Once again, I diislike Bonds with a passion. But, I think he was a very talented hitter that had a great eye for the ball and a great swing.

Tony Gwynn had great hand eye as well but that didn't help his power numbers. Again, Bonds was a great, great player and roids didn't help Bond's BA but they sure as hell helped his power numbers. Bonds went from a 20- 30 HR per season guy to a 50-70 per masher. All because of Balco. Can't spin it any other way folks.

And if you try to spin it any other way, you just don't want to believe in your mind that it's true.

No really it's because of global warming and the rubber plants in the southern hemisphere were more rubbery (also due to global warming)... therefore the core of the ball had more bounce and the more rapid movement of air molecules allowed the ball to travel farther.

Come on PEDs don't do anything... we have to blame this on global warming also!

Boy have we strayed off the topic

Sorry let me run and google his stats next time like you probably just did.

The whole point is his power numbers (and body mass) increased significantly from Pitt to San Fran and Balco.

The point of WWE is to have huger than life wrestlers. MMA isn't just about strength. Just look at Royce Gracie.

Hey Bam, these are probably the same people who believe that Topps and UD don't sell anything out the back door too. And that steroids have only been in baseball since the late 90's....football in the 70's wasn't the only sport to have rampid steroid usage, believe me. Those are the group that got off easy because nobody would think to mention them in any kind of steroid usage because it's not news, but it was there.

i know mma isnt just about strength. as far as gracie go's he was dominating in the days where the fighters were not well rounded. he would get torn apart fighting these days.

steroids have been around since the 1930's and have been in sports forever. there not going anywhere.

lets give some steroids to the guy that works the register at target. lets see if he hits over 700 home runs. again these drugs are not magic........

You're missing the point chief. Steroids isn't going to make some cat from target be able to jack one over the wall. Steroids + Talent = Big Numbers. Steroids allowed Barry Bonds, McGwire, Sosa, Palmeiro to bulk up to be able to use a heavier bat and also to have stronger arms and wrists that would allow them to turn on the ball quicker.

Number one example I can think of is Brady Anderson from the Orioles. Brady had talent, could hit a baseball. Took steroids, went to a bigger bat and jacked 50 in a season. To say these drugs are not magic is wrong. If they weren't magic, they would be legal.

i do get the point. brady is a great example . does he have over 700 home runs ? didnt think so

they should just make steroids legal. why not ? there are so many other things much more dangerous that are legal.

man someones grouchy, you presented something that wasn't fact. If you're going to argue something, it should be right. I also never said he didn't do them, he's just always been a great player.

Also Solt posting pictures of a promo shoot of Lesnar isn't the same as in real life, lots of people look a lot bigger when they flex every single muscle then edit it on a computer. I'm also sure he was working out a lot more during the WWE. I'm sure he was also taking some PED.

Did anyone see the new MMA mag that came out? In it was an ad for Topps UFC 2 and the production photo they used had a Brock auto!

I didn't see the mag but saw an ad on Topps's site or somewhere showing what one would look like or coulda been the actual card meaning he's supposed to be in it. Love him or hate him that will be a hot card. I stated before I can't see Dana White letting him backout if he is supposed to sign for this set but if he does it'll be bad for Topps and UFC.
