SPORTKINGS C-First Pitch Insert Updated

On Tuesday July 14th in St. Louis the American League All-Stars defeated the National League All-Stars 4-3 in a highly entertaining game. But there was more on the line than home field advantage in this year's World Series, what came out of the game was a significant update to the First Pitch Cut Signature Insert set in Sportkings Series C, the Barack Obama First Pitch Card.

Wearing his Chicago White Sox jacket President Obama made a spectacular 60' pitch to Albert Pujols, unfortunately the mound was 60' 6" from homeplate but Pujols caught the pitch in style and few people noticed.

The First Pitch features cut signatures from American Presidents including; Lyndon Johnson, John F. Kennedy, Richard Nixon, Dwight Eisenhower, Harry Truman, Franklin Roosevelt, Herbert Hoover, Calvin Coolidge, Warren Harding, Woodrow Wilson, George H. Bush, George W. Bush, Bill Clinton and the originator of the first pitch, William Taft.

First Pitch is one of five cut signature sets in Series C, the others are PaperCuts, Vintage PaperCuts, Eight Men Out and Owners' Box.

Series C releases July 29, 2009.

Rumor has it that if you pull this high dollar Obama card you have to cut it up into 18 squares of equal width and height and then give 17 of them to illegal immigrants.

Of course I'm collecting all 1/1 Sportkings cards. However, this one won't be a favorite of mine if I'm lucky enough to acquire it. I'm glad they are adding him in the product, but I'm not a fan of his.

I'm still hoping he can do great things though. Just not holding my breath.
