2008 is it for me. Those skill position players in that draft will mean more to the NFL than any other draft. If you break it down by position, 2008 wins as a whole. IMO

I'm a big fan of 07 and think the class will continue to get better. Each year one or two guys seem to step out into the spotlight. Typically I think your looking at 2 years for a wide out, 3 for a quarterback (or longer) before they are fully adapted to the skill and speed of the NFL.

08 Has the potential, as does 09, but I dont think 1 season (or a part of one) you can honestly judge the potential.

At this point, 05 has been better than 06, but I'm still holding out hope, the big three from 06 will shine (and it had best be soon).

I am partial to the '08 class. I think it is the deepest. The '07 class has the best player in Peterson, but it isn't as good from top-to-bottom in my estimation.

For 2009 you are missing McCoy and Mike Wallace. I think both can be impact players. Shon Green ran well on a few carries tor the Jets yesterday too.

Def-Good: Willis, Timmons, Adams Potential: Landry, Beason

2006:
QB-Good:Cutler Potential: Leinhart, T.Jackson
RB-Good:Jones-Drew, D.Williams Potential:Bush, Addai, White, Norwood
WR-Good:Marshall, Colston, Jennings, O.Daniels Potential:Holmes, V.Davis

Just by sure numbers and starting positions, you would have to say 2006. Maybe some diamonds hiding in 07 or 08 class to take over the numbers in the next year or two, but overall, 2006.

are you looking at this from a hobby point a view (card sell/buy wise) or from an on field performance point a view?

Good question... If you were asking me, I put it in a real life play, field performance list.... If Pat/Chris are asking about hobby, then 06 wouldnt be, since alot of the numbers are on defense, and defense cards dont sell. I would change to 08 at that point
