Upper Deck Puts the NHL Rookies through Boot Camp Video No. 2!
Sports card company showed the league’s newest draftees the proper way to tape their sticks. Not everybody caught on
Carlsbad, CA (October 5, 2009) – With the 2009-10 NHL regular season now in full swing, the Upper Deck Company is proud to unveil the second of several NHL Rookies-themed videos that the exclusive manufacturer of NHL trading cards captured during the inaugural Upper Deck NHL Rookie Debut Photo Shoot at the Hershey Centre in Toronto on August 26.
Following where Upper Deck’s first vignette entitled “Signing Cards” left off, the second video shows three NHL newcomers going through the motions when asked by fictitious hockey coach “Ron Cherry” to properly tape their sticks. Watch as James Van Riemsdyk of the Philadelphia Flyers, Bobby Sanguinetti of the New York Rangers and Colin Wilson of the Nashville Predators try their hand at tackling the “Taping Sticks” segment.
