guess they're going to milk that NCAA license for all it's worth now. the set looks very similar to the press pass legends basketball product from a couple years ago.

Good for them. This stuff actually looks halfway decent. They will milk that license because its all they've got. Seems like this is right in the niche they execute well on. $100, 3-hit box that offers some value.

UD's idea of value are 3 $3 autographs of guys like Dan Majerle, Spudd Webb, Stacey Augmon with the occasional Larry Bird thrown in to make this product look good - face it without rookies in NBA uniforms this product is putting lipstick on a pig...

Amen to that. I'm sorry, but what they've put out so far this year with the license hasn't been all that great. Draft? Putrid. Signature? I'd rather have Topps Signature. Exquisite? Yeah, let's all grab a case or two...not. UD? Probably the best of the bunch, with tons of, yes, $3 signatures. At least you get some decent photography with the base cards.

I will be all over that Jordan in a UNC uniform. I for one can't wait for it to release. There are lots of college basketball fans out there who only want their player in their college uniform.

Actually, Upper Deck owns all of the Fleer trademarks (designs, protected brand names, etc.). It bought them.
