Series Fever Begins With Baseball Memorabilia Auction

Babe Ruth autographed ballThe timing couldn't be better for New York based Gotta Have It!, which launches a major auction on the day the Yankees and Phillies begin the 2009 World Series.

October baseball has returned to New York, giving an added boost to a fresh lineup of baseball memorabilia set to go on the block hours before the Yankees and Phillies square off at the new Yankee Stadium.

Gotta Have It! is gearing up for their 2009 World Series Baseball Online Auction, which launches Wednesday with a special kickoff at Mickey Mantle's restaurant.

Carl Hubbell jacketThe auction runs from October 28 to November 6th and features dozens of historic baseball and personal items from the likes of Babe Ruth, Mickey Mantle, Joe DiMaggio, Hank Greenberg, Honus Wagner, Lou Gehrig, Jackie Robinson, Sandy Koufax, Alex Rodriguez, Derek Jeter and Nolan Ryan.
