Hawaii Trade Conference Called Off For 2010
F+W Media, parent company of Krause Publications, has announced the Hawaii Trade Conference will not be held in 2010, citing economic conditions and lack of industry support. Next year would have been the 25th Hawaii Trade Conference. “With the economy and other factors, a conference in 2010 wouldn’t lend itself to the success and high-quality meetings that dealers, distributors, league representatives, player associations and manufacturers have come to expect from the Hawaii Trade Conference,” said Dean Listle, sports division publisher for F+W Media. http://www.auctionreport.com/?p=2939

It didn't have much to do with the Pro Bowl, at least in the early days of it. It began as an excuse to get the top dealers together in a sweet vacation setting. I believe Kit Young had roots in Hawaii and that was the inspiration for the location.
I have video of Al Rosen, Mr. Mint, in a bathing suit in Waikiki if anyone wants to be scared. ![]() Best Always, Vinny
