i am kind of new to these special sales so i was wondering if i am lucky enough to to get one of the special deals is it your once its in your cart or do you need to be the first person to pay for the item, i dont know how the limited quantity thing works

You have to completely finish checking out to get the deal.

Agree 110%. Very few people have bought more basketball in the past 18 months than me, and I've gotten zero deals. That's life, I am glad for the people [hopefully some kids] who did end up with the cards.

It would be nice if they did something for those that are always around [many far longer than I] but that is entirely up to them, obvs they need to attract new customers as well and if this is the lowest-cost way to do it then kudos to them.

I just hope they have more than one of each available and put a one box limit or list a bunch of specials at a time so they spread the wealth instead of the guy with the fastest computer getting 5 items and everybody else gets none.

Or you could look at it another way. The guys with the faster computer paid more for it. So if you average computer cost with box cost it all probably comes out even in the end.

High $$ computer = cheap boxes
Low $$ computer = high boxes

Gotta look at things from every angle.

Don't forget to average in time discount of the computer.
High$$ computer 3 years ago does not equal a high $$$ computer today.
