I am very excited about Blowout's Black Friday, and it is a great promotion by them. But I am very concerned about the website crashing again like it did on 09/09/09. On 09/09/09, the website was either very slow or you couldn't even get on due to all the traffic. And keep in mind that 09/09/09 was a great surprise because people were not expecting it. Plus,it was on a Wednesday when most people had to work. Since this Black Friday is being heavily advertised, and most people have the day off from work, I expect that traffic on this website will be higher than it was on 09/09/09, when the website had a lot of problems. Unless Blowout has increased its bandwith, we will see those same problems again...which will cause lots of frustration...

FYI...everything has been on a new server...hopefully those issues were resolved

I am betting that when they took the site down for maintanence the other night these issues were addressed. Not saying it will still be easy to get in and get stuff but I would bet that they tried to address the issue with the updates.

Also are there going to be quantity limits on items?

Thanks for your concerns guys...We have upgraded our servers since 09/09/09 so lets hope for the best

Also we will have quantity limits for each item but we have also upped the number so that many more members can participate.

I wasn't here for last year's or the 09/09/09 promotion, but I will certainly be checking in on Black Friday.

I know to see the specials, you have to just refresh the Blowout Specials page, but for the exclusive ebay items, are they going to be posted on this thread or the one that opens up at 6 AM friday?
