Voting for the Best On-Line Community on the UD Awards Thread?

Upper Deck awards will salute collecting communities & more

Upper Deck unveiled Monday its plans for a series of awards showcasing the best in the hobby when it comes to everything online.

The online community at Blowoutcards.com consists of some of the most passionate collectors in the hobby.
Its an honor to be nominated and a testament to our members contributions that our community continues to grow and keep collectors informed.

Thanks to all who have nominating Blowoutcards.com for best on-line community at upperdeckawards.com
Unfortunately,large online retail communities that also have message boards will not be eligible for inclusion in this award according to Upper Deck.

Feel free to post any thoughts

i find it funny that beckett was not not nominated for anything

the most informative site and blog

the other boards spammed its members to nominate them

or
maybe the fact that bo forums is linked to a distributor with great prices

It shouldn't be a suprise that a major distributors site is not included. All of the sites I saw on the list were trading sites. Upper Deck is being smart by not putting a distributors site on the list, it would be a huge conflict of interests. A good/great online site related to a hobby should not be motivated/backed by sales of that product. IMO.

The real crime is that "Stale Gum" is not included on that blog list! He knows his stuff and says it like it is. If there was a chance UD was being biased with nominations it would be in regards to the blog vote.

Chris, you really are making Beckett Media look even worse by coming on here and making these kinds of comments. You have over 100 employees and have connections to all aspects of the industry. To be completely honest, you should be breaking even more stories and covering more controversial topics (in an impartial way, if you guys can manage that) instead of coming on here telling everyone how great you are. Do that, and maybe Beckett will no longer be the irrelevant laughingstock of the industry that it has become over the last decade.
