Canada sucks! Would of cost me $110 in duty to have my Goodwin Super Auto shipped over the border. Thank god I have a US address I can ship too.

Congrats on your pull of a lifetime. It's too bad your reaction wasn't caught on video because I would have LOVED to see it.

SO I would think 18K minus either 1800 or 3600. So roughly 15/16K and for all we really know Puig could flop and or get injured. It always best to cash in when you can before stuff out of your control can happen. Nice pull and good price. That's a win win if you ask me.

First from one Canuck to another, Congrats on the Hit! Always nice to see another Canadian do well in these breaks.

Exactly, we do get screwed quite a bit when even importing boxes up here.

You did the right thing to sell it down there. You don't want to deal with not only customs, but also HST on the value of the card. Would have been a mess!

Nice hit and Congrats to Matty T on his hot hands again!

I'll Pm you on this. The US address you can get in Detroit would still make you declare it on your way back to the border. Would have to take the chance to sneak it in which is never a good thing.

Congrats again!

My thoughts exactly. I could've waited, and probably got even more, but was it really worth another couple thousand dollars to take that risk? The buyer could definitely wait and make money off of the card, I think. I wasn't willing to gamble 18gs away though, I decided that was the price I wanted heading in, and got it. I'm super happy.

I always think back to Larry Johnson the KC RB who had 1 good season and people were spending thousands thinking he was going to rush for 3k yards. Well he didn't and now his cards are worth nothing.

I think you need a better example than LG. Chiefs beat the bajezzus out of him for 2 years where he was one of the best going. Don't forget he had Priest Holmes in front of him too who they beat up.

Att Yards Avg TDs Rec Yds Avg TD
2005 (KC) 336 1,750 5.2 20 33 343 10.4 1
2006 (KC) 416 1,789 4.3 17 41 410 10.0 2

NFL records
Most rushing attempts in a single season: 416 (2006)

Chiefs franchise records
Most career rushing attempts (1,375)
Most rushing yards in a single season: 1,789 (2006)

Just use Kevin Maas or Brien Taylor or Todd Van Poppel (toss in Matt Bush or Donavan Tate for more current) for the example since it's even harder to compare football and baseball

Im talking about after the 05 season people were saying he was going to break 3k yards and he didn't even break 2k. He still had a great season but what about after that? He's not the only RB to get used a lot. After 05 his cards were selling for stupid money, and now what are they worth? Thats my point, he is worth nothing now.

Hey Look at a Player Like Strasburg as well The money his cards were getting before the injury and now what they sell for and he is very good. The only way his cards will reach that kinds money again is he has to have a year for the ages and win WS
He is still young but doubt his cards will ever get back to where they were.
