The release was in July last year. I wonder if they are doing this to space it out from Bowman Chrome, but Bowman Chrome typically comes out in late August I believe. I guess Topps can do what they want now that they rule the baseball world.

I'm a little disappointed. Looks like they're including some good value as far as inserts, but why not include some of the insert sets from the regular Topps set? Cards your mom threw out, Turkey Red, ...etc. Maybe it's just me, but I enjoy putting those sets together.

One of the things I enjoyed about about last year's Chrome was that there was not a lot of insert sets. The two autos per box for the price was good and I always like the chance at hitting a low numbered refractor.

I agree somewhat, but wouldn't it been nicer to have some nice chrome inserts from regular Topps instead of all of those worthless WBC inserts? I still have a bunch of them laying around and they don't sell for poop.

Yeah, I like getting some WBC cards, but there were way too many in last years Topps Chrome. I'd rather they thinned them out a bit and included some other inserts from regular topps. My estimation was only based on how they sold, like crap. Not that it's a concern, I don't even think there are any in this years chrome. I'd just like to see some insert sets that parallell regular topps in the chrome set.

I'd guess between $600-$700 a case.
