Jason Heyward: RF, Class A Rome
The low Class A Rome right fielder has continued his stellar month of May (.343/.383/.552) during the past week, batting .462 while belting 4 2B and 2 HR. One of the top hitting prospects in low Class A, Heyward scored 8 runs and knocked in 6 RBI as he rose to fourth in the South Atlantic League in batting average and first in the league in hits and runs scored. Heyward racked up FOUR multi-hit games this week, his most impressive performance coming on Tuesday against Hickory when he finished 4-for-5 and a triple short of the cycle.

David Price: LHP, High Class A Vero Beach
The top pick in the 2007 MLB draft by the Tampa Bay Devil Rays shined in the spotlight this week as he shut down Pedro Martinez during a rehab start Wednesday night in Port St. Lucie, Florida. In six innings of work, Price allowed only two hits and fanned nine, getting his second win in as many starts. For the season, Price is now 2-0 with an ERA of 0.00, striking out 13 batters in only 11 innings of work! The 3-time CY Young Award winner Martinez praised Price after the game, saying “The kid is amazing. He has an amazing arm and knows how to use it."

Austin Jackson: CF, Double-A Trenton
The Yankees 21-year-old prospect had his second seven-RBI game of the season on Sunday, powering Trenton to a 9-3 victory over New Britain. Jackson went 3-for-5 with two doubles as he accomplished the 7-RBI feat for the second time in two weeks!

Cameron Maybin: CF, Double-A Carolina
The Marlins 21-year old CF prospect went 3-for-4 on Sunday, belting his 8th and 9th home runs of the season. During the month of May, Maybin cut back on strikeouts and improved his average, showing much promise for a 21-year-old in Double-A.

RED HOT: Jay Bruce
A Debut Week for the Records

After being called up by the Reds on Tuesday, Jay Bruce lived up to the hype during his first week in the bigs, batting .591 with 2 HR, 6 RBIs, and a 1.000 SLG. Following up his 3-for-3 with two BB debut, during which he received numerous standing ovations, Bruce remained RED HOT, proceeding to go 13-for-22 last week. A four-hit game Friday, a WALK-OFF HR Saturday, and a 2-for-3 with a HR performance on Sunday were all part of a memorable debut week for the star center fielder.
