Dear Hobby Retailer,
As summer turns to fall, now is the time our industry really kicks into gear. We hope you will be doing everything you can to make this a great fall season. We have products at a variety of price points and a series of aggressive advertising and promotional campaigns planned to help drive collectors into your stores.
From September through December it's the most exciting collecting time of the year. It includes: the start of the NFL season; the NBA's traveling road show of LeBron, D-Wade & Bosh; Panini's return to the NHL; new products aimed at kids like Adrenalyn and Sticker Albums; the baseball post-season and the holiday shopping season.
Toward that end, we encourage you to consider carrying our NFL, NHL or Harry Potter stickers and albums when they are available in mid-October. Although it is not a high-margin product aimed at your serious collectors, it is a great gateway product to get kids into your shop. As our World Cup sticker book proved, if you can get a kid interested in starting the book, they will return to your shop to buy packs to complete the book. The World Cup sticker collection also helped bring more new faces into your shops than anything in recent years.

2010 Donruss Elite Extra Edition Checklist

Just a few days before 2010 Donruss Elite Extra Edition ships, Panini America has released the checklist for the product that integrates draft picks, top prospects and baseball legends. Highlights of the 200-card base set include:

• More than double the on-card autographs as 30+ rookies signed on-card
• At least six autographs per box
• Hot boxes at a rate of 4 per case, with each box containing at least 10 autographs
• Buybacks autographs of some of the most popular Elite Extra Edition sigs cards from the past decade
  

It's Gametime
Last week, more than 500 hobby shops received their Panini NFL Player of the Day promotional kits to run the hobby's most successful promotion in their shop. The program is a great tool to market Panini NFL cards and to also reward your NFL card collectors for their business.
With the support of NFL PLAYERS we have one of the most power-packed line-up of autographed cards in this year's promotion. In fact, the first autographed card we have of Texans RB Arian Foster was provided as a grand prize to 35 lucky hobby shops. Foster's NFLPOD signed card is a Rookies & Stars card #120 with the Panini "P" authentication sticker on the back. We hope you were pleased with the autographed card in your kit.
To promote the program outside the walls of your hobby shops, 10 of the most popular hobby blogs are running Panini NFL Player of the Day promotions on their sites. Each site is posting banner ads with a link to the hobby shop locator www.nflpod.com.

Stick 'Em Up
If you were among the many hobby retailers who benefitted from Panini's World Cup and Toy Story 3 sticker albums...Get ready for some football.
The Panini NFL Sticker Collection will be available on Oct. 13. The set includes 560 stickers comprised of 400 glossy stickers, 100 holographic foil stickers and 60 silver foil stickers. The 72-page album costs $2 and packs of 8-stickers cost just $1.
The same day, Panini will also unveil the NHL Sticker Collection. The set includes 364 stickers comprised of 300 glossy stickers, 32 holographic foil stickers and 32 fabric stickers. The 72-page album costs $2 and packs of 8-stickers cost just $1.
Two weeks later, the Panini Harry Potter Sticker Collection will be released timed with the blockbuster flick "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1." The set includes: 252 stickers with 192 glossy stickers, 24 lenticular stickers and 36 foil stickers. The 32-page album costs $2 and packs of 8-stickers cost just $1. The display unit fits 20 sticker albums and 50 packs.

A Big Fan
Over the past decade, Fans of the Game has been one of our most popular inserts sets in Donruss Elite Extra Edition. This year, that insert will include one special celebrity fan Pam Anderson. It's card #100 in the set and just 35 copies of the card are being signed. If you miss her in Triple-E, the former Baywatch star will make an encore performance in Donruss NHL.
Rookie Flamethrower
Cuban pitching phenom Aroldis Chapman made his debut with the Cincinnati Reds on Aug. 31 by throwing a 103 mph fastball. He made his trading card debut in 2009 Donruss Elite. There are several autographed versions of the card and version sequentially numbered to 695.
Panini is HOT
According to the October issue of Beckett Sports Card Monthly four Panini Tim Tebow cards are among the 20 hottest NFL cards. This includes: #4, #8, #14, #17. Also, three of the top five NBA cards on the Beckett Hot List are National Treasures (#1 Tyreke Evans RC, #2 Stephen Curry RC and #4 Blake Griffin RC).

This month we will award one lucky shop that votes a football signed by more than a dozen rookies at the 2009 NFL Rookie Premier photo shoot.
