New TNA iMPACT! Trading Cards Released


Thursday marks the worldwide release of the new TNA iMPACT! trading cards, produced by Houston-based TRISTAR Productions.

The newly-released set includes base cards of TNA's Wrestlers and Knockouts, as well as base card parallel editions featuring serial numbering. TNA iMPACT! also showcases these unique subsets:

- Mike's Magical Moments – Broadcaster Mike Tenay's favorite TNA moments.
- We Are TNA – TNA's unique features and championships.
- Muscles, Ink – Focuses on wrestlers' fitness and tattoos.
- Then & Now – TNA Stars: past and present.
- Thoughts… by "Big Sexy" Kevin Nash – The wrestling icon gives his take on TNA.

The product also includes TNAutograph cards, featuring single, dual and triple autographs of more than 50 different TNA Wrestling stars. A number of the stars hand-wrote a limited quantity of special inscriptions with their autographs, including Kurt Angle – "12X World Champ," Scott Steiner – "Big Poppa Pump" and Gail Kim "1st Knockouts Champ."

A politically-minded foursome even volunteered to indicate the presidential candidate each is endorsing in this year's presidential election by signing a special inscription with a limited number of their autographs. The TNA stars who chose to sign special presidential endorsement inscriptions include: Kevin Nash – "Obama 08"; Booker T. – "Obama 08"; Sonjay Dutt – "Clinton 08"; and Rhino – "McCain 08." These cards are already garnering special attention from both collectors and media.

The TNA Authentic Action event-used memorabilia cards give fans the opportunity to own a piece of their favorite stars, as TRISTAR has secured the clothes off the stars' backs and included pieces of their clothing on these special cards.

According to TRISTAR vice president Mandy Fuerst, the company is excited to unveil its first TNA trading cards.

"We were thrilled when we were selected by TNA as the exclusive company to produce its trading cards and memorabilia," said Fuerst. "With TNA iMPACT! Trading Cards, TRISTAR has used its vast experience in the creation, production and collectability of trading cards and worked with TNA to showcase its stars in special ways in these exciting new trading cards."

TRISTAR plans to release three TNA trading card products in 2008. After "iMPACT!," TRISTAR will "Cross the Line" in the fall, and just in time for the holidays, "TNA Knockouts" will feature a look at the attractive females on TNA's roster.
