Uh, not to rain on PMac's parade (pull of a lifetime, by the way -- unbelievable), but a commenter on his You Tube video raises a point I hadn't considered: "Say hello to higher taxes." Bonds' home run ball ‘an expensive catch‘ - Barry Bonds- nbcsports.msnbc.com

Not everyone may want those two people. You get a dual auto of Brett Favre and Alex Smith. One person carries the card, and the Favre would probably get more on his own. It might be the same for these on some (not all). Some people might prefer some of these historical figures alone and not combined.

The seller also used BIN/BO, unlike the others who let the auctions run. Maybe that's the best way to sell these? Or run them as BIN/BO initially to get some interest in the card, then relist it as an auction? Not sure what the best way would be... |

In regards to the single cut autos and their respective documents, unless this set is extremely popular still 20 years down the road, I'd have to agree with you and say the document. You never know, there could end up being a law right around the corner where it becomes illegal to destroy a historical document in order to sell a signature. I'm surprised there aren't any regulations on it now. If for some reason that law happened tomorrow, you can bet these cards would be worth an untold fortune. Something to think about I guess.

Now I understand why this guy paid $7000 for the Grant...so he could list these 2 together. Not a bad move, but I bet he could have got the Grant for quite a bit less than $7K.

Hi
just wondering. Right you have better odds from this than you do lotto. But just curious i have looked in this thread has many people sold there box above the price they bought it for. Having a look a lot of people would of lost money on this and few lucky ones make heaps. I wouldn't risk it as im a Aussie and 2500 US is like 4 grand Aussie too big a gamble for me to spend on one card hoping to get a good card. |

I agree, too big of a risk for me as well. The percentage of cards making their money back or more is small compared to those that are losing the buyers money.
