Default 2012 UFC Knockout 8 Box Case Break -- Who said this stuff would suck??

Well if you were one of the ones that said this stuff would suck, based solely on my case you are very VERY wrong

Here are my thoughts on this release: I PERSONALLY like it more than last years release. The inclusion of the on card autographs that fall 1-2 per box are a huge plus in my book. The design is clean, and they look good. There is still some problems with chipping, just like in last years, but that was almost to be expected. It also seems like the triple threads cards are falling more per case than last year. I remember pulled 1-3 last year, and my case this year had 5 plus a book. Just like last years each box seems to have a "premium hit" in it. I noticed that at least one of my hits in each box was "premium" card. The 8 "premium" cards (1 from each box) that I hit were: Dos Santos/Carwin Dual, Brock Red Ink, Faber Nickname, Lyoto Glove, Faber Full Contact, Velasquez Full Contact, Triple Threads 6 way book, & Mayhem Ruby /8. There may have been BETTER hits in those boxes than what I consider the "premium" hit, but those were the rarer cards pulled from the boxes.

Ok so I am not going to post the mat relics / fighter gear relics right now. The mat relics are #d /288 and /88 and the fighter relics are all numbered out of /88 that I pulled. There is also a premium pieces set with some really nice fighter relics and those are /88 as well. Here is the breakdown:

Base Card Highlights
Ricardo Souza Ruby Parallel Base Card #d /8
Nick Diaz Mat Relic Base Card Parallel #d 1/1 (came out of the pack with a chipped upper right corner)
Forrest Griffin Magenta Printing Plate Base Card #d 1/1

Brock Lesnar Fighter Autograph Redemption
Jason Mayhem Miller #d /159
Miesha Tate #d /159

Tony Ferguson #d /159
Renzo Gracie 1st Autograph #d /159
Cung Le 1st Autograph #d /159
Chael Sonnen #d /159
Ryan Couture #d /159
Jason Mayhem Miller Ruby Parallel #d /8

Urijah Faber 2012 Full Contact Autograph #d /99
Cain Velasquez 2011 Full Contact Autograph Not Numbered (Kinda pissed they threw these into the packs)

Bryan,
I would be interested in any Michael McDonald stuff (not sure if he has anything). He is from the same town as me.

I never said it would suck but I know production is way up over last year. Can't wait to see the scans.

How did you get it so early? From a distro or direct?

As soon as they try to pass off a dwarf as a leprechaun I'll believe it is fake. Plus, Lesnar lost more in the UFC than he did on the WWE so it has to be real.

He has a Fighter on card autograph for sure. Saw one pulled from a buddys case. That means he SHOULD have a red ink nickname autograph, a ruby /8 and a 1/1 mat autograph as well.

So no fistographs? I had the initial impression it was one per box at first, which would have been hard if they would have been numbered to only 15 each.

The fistographs are 1:51 boxes. There are 10 fighters and each is numbered to 10 or 15 I believe. I thought I read it was 10. If it is 15 then there are less than 1,000 master cases, if it is 10 like I had heard then there are less than 650 master cases.

Sale sheet says 5 but the mockup on the sales sheet is 1/10. I am 99% sure there are 10 fighters with 10 each so that puts us around 650 cases of the product.

Looks nice, and no, I don't believe UFC is fake. IN fact, I think it's one of the most authentic out there.

How many cases were produced last year? By my calculations there are just under 650 cases this year.

I don't know how many were produced last year, but I know allocations were up and most dealers I know took the max allocation.

If every case looks like yours, however, it won't matter how many cases were produced - it will still dry up eventually.

Did you really get $400 for that Diaz 1/1 base parallel? That's obscene.

Based on my sales outside of ebay, I have done very well even without the Diaz base. My case was absolutely loaded. I don't know if it will hold true throughout the entire print run, but if half the cases are as good as mine prepare for cases to go up quick.

It was the # 1 card most UFC fans were looking for? he could have listed it at $800 and it would have sold.

and your Brock redemption is a base auto #159 not a red ink auto, otherwise it would have said that on the redemption. Still a great case, hopefully others look this good.

No I pulled a normal /159 redemption and a red ink. When I listed the red ink I just put up the wrong scan with it. The red ink already sold outside of eBay.

Not too sure it would have sold for that much lol.. But if it would have then all the more power to the buyer for picking it up at a good price!

Ok gotcha. Some people on another site were wondering about that card when you had it listed on ebay.

there have been a few new collectors who are BIG spenders and they buy only limited cards 1/1's or limited autos and such and they will pay alot for these cards. If that card was mint I would not be suprised to see at least $1,000, but hell you got 40% back(if it was a $1k) on one card that wouldn't have graded an 8, lol. you gotta be happy with that. Are you going to open another case?

Also are any of the green #88 base cards you pulled debut cards, if you are willing to pull them from that auction, I would be a buyer.
