Big Bang Theory box break

My dealer only could get 3 boxes in, so I opened one and picked one up for my buddy.

He pulled a sweatspants relic of Penny and an autograph of John Ross Bowie .

I pulled a Brian George autograph, a red t-shirt relic of Leonard, and a redemption for an oversized 5 piece wardrobe card of all of the main characters.

Not sure if I will get rid of my stuff yet, but if I do I will post it on the appropriate board

Thanks,
TROY

that redemption is short to 25 and will bring big money nice pull

t2554 03-22-2012 09:11 AM

Wow you hit the redemption congrats!

rice71 03-22-2012 09:50 AM

Nice hit on the redemp. Im hope I can pull that in my 2 boxes im opening. Highly unlikely but ill take a penny auto.

Throw that redemption on Ebay - be the first and reap the rewards!

mrHoarder 03-22-2012 12:04 PM

Wow nice one. That's going to fetch a nice price.

ricksam 03-22-2012 12:23 PM

Going by The Walking Dead redemptions, the first one only went for ~$545, then they went higher with each one sold. Personally, I would wait until a few of them sell before trying to sell mine.

This show's a little different than Walking Dead. I doubt you will see boxes of BBT going for $200 in 6 months.

If you're comparing the popularity of the shows, maybe you should look at the ratings. :)!

And if I'm missing your point, what is the point you're trying to make by saying "This show's a little different than Walking Dead. I doubt you will see boxes of BBT going for $200 in 6 months." :)!

It's tough to find ratings for broadcast TV vs cable, if you've got something please post it. I checked a few things but they didn't make much sense to me.

But I'd certainly say that WD is more popular than BBT. The fans seem more rabid for more, anyway.

Brobocop 03-22-2012 05:14 PM

Big Bang Theory though has the advantage of being the next big property released after Walking Dead. Seeing as how difficult it is to get boxes of BBT there could be a nice run on this stuff in the future if the big five autos start to sell for a lot of cash. A Leonard auto just went for $169 and that seems either low or what would be about average. A Penny of Sheldon could easily go for over $200, maybe even $300. Outside of the badge cards, Walking Dead autos will probably never reach those heights. This really could go either way, but I don't see it ever losing value over time, either holding steady or going up.

I just don't see the demand for BBT increasing at the speed and extent that WD has. Maybe I'll be wrong, but I just think there are more ravenous WD fans who are not card collectors that are buying the cards. People are paying premiums for ANYTHING with WD on it.

Not much here you can argue with. Especially after how season two ended, this show has really reached a fever pitch. But I don't see people losing on BBT either. Both are good sets and seem to offer a lot of value for fans of either show. I do know my girlfriend is big in to the show and is getting a few boxes of BBT. So that could be saying something there on the prospects of this set.

the redemption is sweet. that card is actually pretty cool but i cant see it going for $500...

If that was put up with a $499.99 buy it now, I would be shocked if it didn't sell within an hour.

Cujobyte 03-23-2012 02:59 AM

One of them went tonite on eBay for $699 buy it now. Wow!

Oh yeah, I don't doubt that either. You'll only see prices increase, but I was just suggesting they wouldn't at the rate or height of Walking Dead. That's all. :)

That was mine!!! Wowzers!! I had several offers before I went to bed last night....the highest was $450 and I was debating about taking it, but I figured I would wait until this afternoon to see if I received any other offers.. I just looked now and saw the BIN was hit.
